Elton John - I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues (Miami Arena 1998)
Музыка
Elton treated the crowd to this lively rendition of “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues” at his Miami Arena concert in 1998. The song, co-written with guitarist Davey Johnstone and recorded at George Martin’s AIR Studios on Montserrat, was the first single from his 1983 album “Too Low For Zero” and was one of Elton's highest charting US singles of the 80s. Elton’s keyboardist, the late Guy Babylon, emulates the harmonica solo played on the studio recording by Stevie Wonder.

Absolute master of the piano. I’m always in awe of him every time I see him perform.
This song always reminds me of my dear old friend. I decided not to tell her that I loved her cause I thought I could lose her friendship. Now she is with someone else and I don't recognize her anymore, I miss her.

There's only one Elton John. No one else can ever come close. He's the best.
I've listened to this one so many times, over and over. Not sure if it helped things or made things worse, but I still love it.

Worse, listended to both live (this) and studio version, and coming to my personal conclusion, that his voice has deepened making his orginal studio version worse for me lol

I played this song over and over was so drunk I still remembered the amount 46 times in one night
Just listened to the studio version, and these two sound so different vocally. Both great. Also 4:11 sounds amazing
Elton John looks so handsome I can't breathe
Please invent the time machine I want to go back to the 70s, when this was everyday music. I'd go back and stay.
