Elon Musk biographer says billionaire has 'dark demon mode'

Elon Musk worked with biographer Walter Isaacson for two years as the billionaire owner of Tesla, SpaceX, Twitter (now X) and Starlink saw his fame, fortune and influence reach nearly unprecedented levels. And already some of his revelations have sparked debate around Musk's support for Ukraine.
(Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
------
In this exclusive TV interview Isaacson says Ukrainians “did not know” Musk had geofenced Crimea from his Starlink satellite to prevent an attack on Russia - while also revealing his 'dark demon mode' and explaining that the tech billionaire is sometimes 'uncomfortable with the power that he has'.
Isaacson said of Musk’s childhood: “He was socially awkward, a scrawny kid beaten up all the time, and that caused a lot of scars. But the main scars were the psychological ones caused by his father who was a brilliant engineer, but also a very Jekyll and Hyde like character who would go into dark moods… I do think that those demons are still dancing around in his head.” Elon Musk’s father, Errol, has previously denied these accusations.

If we're such a free country, why has any Russian news been banned in Britain? The media wants to brainwash British people into risking their lives so our economy stays closely linked with USA banks, encouraging people live in greed and debt. It wasn't long ago that Ukraine used to be the top scammer country, where they would trick lonely western men into handing over money, but that all seems to have been forgotten now, as they're given fast track houses and benefits as asylum seekers in other European countries for their fake stories. Don't forget that in the 80s while Americans were chanting against Commies, the USA were arming and training extremists in Afghanistan against Russia. Then when Russia left Afghanistan, the USA didn't care what the extremists were doing all through the 90s, such as blowing up ancient Buddhist statues and banning females from education, while making females walk around in tents, as well as killing people for religious reasons. It was only after 9/11 in 2001 that the USA decided to go against the Taliban, which the USA lost as handed it back to the Taliban recently. The USA couldn't win against backward religious extremists on donkeys, as gave up in Afghanistan, so the bankers who run Britain and the USA can concentrate on using the Russian/Ukraine situation to start WWIII.

There’s a difference. I know exactly what His biographer means by Dark Demon mode. I’m staying with someone who has the exact same thing. When he gets angry, rage takes him over and you can almost see him “morph” into a different person, his whole body trembling with anger while the atmosphere gets thick with tension around him. Moments later, he starts to act like nothing happened - reverts back to being casual and light-hearted. It’s quite unsettling to witness.

Yet he himself has used words that he may not realize are scary to people who read the book and see how they themselves might be a danger if they had Elon's power!! Interesting to compare Elon Musk with Sergei Pavlovich Korolev, who also could be a hard man, though generally he forgave people later. Korolev's "empire" was similarly huge and complex. Not only is Musk's engineering philosophy similar to that of Korolev, but quite a few of his solutions are similar. The achievements of both men are extraordinary: it is amazing that Korolev's masterpiece, the Soyuz, and Musk's Falcon/Dragon, are the principal means today of astronauts/cosmonauts reaching orbit even though separated by over half a century in original design. However, Musk has not come through the searing fire of Stalinist oppression which Korolev barely survived, even if he has had some individual difficult times, and this perhaps shows in his more unpredictable nature and messier personal life.

GM stayed alive by taking tax payer money through the Feds. Ford evidently didn’t hire the right people. Seems like he saw troubled markets and designed solutions to the problems. He has confidence that allows him to take risks. He has failed along the way a few times but learned from them and fixed his problems. His power is still reigned in by the laws of the land. As for being a man child? If being a man child results in being that rich and designing things no one else could then great. If he was the president THEN one could say he has real power. He’s too smart to waste that time.

I wish more journalists had this ability. There is no "disdainful criticism" in his view. He has approached this on facts and observation with minimal impact of personal preference. Thank you for writing this book. As an aside, there are some observations about "demons" and the national pastime of "demonizing" the opposition that certainly needs addressing... Spiritually we have addressed these issues since the beginning of time. But; recently we have neglected the reality of both sides of human nature within each of us. This brings balance vs. imbalance into the picture. Old school priests will tell you that we each have a guardian angel assigned to us at conception, along with our identity (DNA) and our parenting lines (ancestry). We inherit bones, blood, health and strength, intellelect and emotional characteristics along with our personalities, etc.. We absorb and learn from our immediate environment and the social construct around us. What these old-school priests also tell us is that we also have a familiar (or demon) assigned to us (by the dark side) to tempt us to fall into bad company, bad habits and bad ideas like selfishness and greed. The ultimate goal is to fall into self-destruction, chaos, cruelty and ruin... the ultimate goal is self-destruction and ruin of others by tortuous means. Each of us has two sides. I have seen the dark side of individuals and I have seen the dark sides of humanity in general. History records the light and dark events; although not always very accurately. Some societies record these philosophical trends differently. One such theme came from indigenous populations as the two wolves; one good one evil, and the one that gets fed the most time and attention is dominant. Some spiritualists call this our shadow side to help us heal, raise vibrant energy and bring light into the world. It doesn't pay to be "too nice" it does great harm to be "too cruel". We are not perfect, we cannot be perfect because we are too human. We, hopefully have people and places and things in our lives to help us become better versions of ourselves... As for me and my belief system, God gave me good (Catholic) parents and when at 7 years old, I really started using "salty" language my mother made me apologize, (one time) had me wash out my mouth with soap, had me look up the word in the dictionary (because I miss-used the word) AND made then told me to go to confession. Then the priest confessor told me I had to work on my anger issues because if I didn't I would grow up with a big mouth and a bad temper. God rest his soul, he was right. Lesson learned from confession, but I have learned to regulate a bit better, even though I still cuss the TV at politically correct and incorrect people... and I see little ones using language I hadn't heard of at that age. Face it, we are human, with flaws and favors. We need accountability and discipline and love and laughter. We need less harsh judgment and no cruelty. We need personal space for growth and we need boundaries to protect ourselves and our children. We need the diversity of the Elons of the world to balance the marshmallows of sloth and ignorance. We have much to learn and we have much to teach. We NEED to GET BUSY!!! WE HAVE MUCH TO DO. ❤🏗🧭🌐🗺🏥🏨🏡🏰🕍 ❤✈🚝🚜🚗🚀🛰🛸🛎🧳🪂❤

I have Aspergers syndrome and a 158 I.Q. and my family called my outbreaks; "Jimmy Fits," and recently another Aspergerer, described it as; "The Aspergers super human strength mode." Yes, after I get mad enough to break, it takes 6 police officers and sheriff's to hold me down, and after only three hours I do not remember the incident!!!(I was sick with Rabado-mylosis, and they were trying to get me to a hospital, but, I thought they were trying to arrest me!) I have a 98% recall, so memory loss is super rare. During a black out or, super human strength breakout, the incident has only about a 25%recall...

No, his genius is getting govt handouts to pay for it. Tesla took off after the 2007 crisis when it received a $400 million loan from the Obama administration by lying about the company size. Spacex received $billions from NASA to startup, it had so much money that Musk could not spend it fast enough and used some of the US taxpayer cash to prop up his other company Solarcity. The reason why Spacex is successful is that it is allowed to make catastrophic mistakes and learn from them, there would be congressional hearings if NASA lost as many rockets as Spacex.

If someone who craves power could have done these things, that person would be dangerous. But Elon, although Walter says he has a "dark" side, doesn't seem to me to be an evil person. Walter should define "dark". I don't think he means evil.
