I'm hoping that Lucid brought the Sapphire to Goodwood. I know Rawlinson is there rolling out the base Pure model to a European audience for the first time, but it's the Sapphire that could make waves in the Hillclimb competition. Will be interesting to see if the Yangwang can get it up the hill. Since Tesla engineers learned of the Robotaxi unveiling event at the same time that we did I'm not surprised it will take a while for them to hammer together a concept fit for display. Adding to their anxiety, no doubt, was Elon in the back of the room shouting "More Cowbell" (where 'cowbell' means cybertruck styling cues)

What doesn't make sense to you" Employees are thieving from the hand that feeds them. You seem to think that's OK because they can afford it? Give your head a shake. What's wrong is wrong. If I caught my employees stealing from me I'd fire them. And it has nothing to do with the value of my company!

Think rimac will go to production sooner, and have the highest of high end. However which means rimac will probably cost 3 x as much with probably a tenth of the scale. As a consumer more robo taxis mean better safety and better prices.

When I saw the images of the Rimac robo taxi I thought that's what Tesla should have done, I'm guessing Tesla had not done as good a job and decided they needed to make something as good, I also posted some video /w audio on twitter I found video of a Lyft or perhaps Uber of a clueless passenger opening their door into traffic and the door was taken off, I think Amazon's Zoox is probably the best way to make a robo taxi, conventional car doors are super dumb, *Elon is very American, we Americans always do the right thing only AFTER we have tried everything else first*

I think that it is ridiculous that Musk got the billions of payout, and it is similarly ridiculous that employees think that it is OK to steal 65,000 coffee cups. What if Tesla split the difference, and gave Elon half as much, and gave the remaining billions to the workers (and former workers) proportionally to their contributions. I like this MB 300SL replica shell over the Model 3. It looks great! But I would also have pulled back on the Las Vegas glitz bits.🤩 I do wonder how long that it will be until this creation catches the eye of Mercedes, and their legal department has it crushed (as seen with other MB 300SL replicas destroyed recently).

100% ... don't steal coffee cups/office supplies, etc., but it's the punitive aspect of it, treating workers like children. "You guys couldn't take care of your coffee cups, so we're going to take away your spoons!" It's offensive.

Elon is totally out of touch with reality. He should stop messing with Tesla design team.

It was crafted when Tesla was worth a lot less than what it got to, more than the next nine auto makers combined, and completely bonkers that Elon could pull off. Besides, it should be clear now that Tesla’s much more than just an auto maker and thus completely incomparable with the other auto makers!

100%. The board voted and the man should be paid (a deal is a deal). But the fact remains that the company has billions to spare, and they're cracking the whip on a workforce that they depend on to keep growing. Of course, now that the company has stopped growing and the myth of infinite demand is well and truly busted maybe it's cheaper for them to get people to quit than it is to fire them? Not sure how German labor laws work.

Yeah so theft is OK because the company and it's shareholders can afford to replace them vs expecting their employees to respect what is provided as a courtesy (along with everything else like travel, gym, etc, etc). Your entitlement mentality is what is wrong here but then, modern unionist.

There is a time and place for everything. When meeting with a union threatening to shut down the plant over working conditions, well, that's just a terrible time to complain about coffee cups. Tesla has long had questionable management practices focused on a lack of professionalism. This is just a high profile example of that.
