    Man that is one beautiful blade and the handle is most wonderful. Simple leather sheath I like those. At the point you should leave a less than ⅛ hole so water can drain and so you don't have cross over stitch I use two threads. But WoW love it

    Good looking knife! I have used Ambrosia burl which has the same look as the elm burl. Question: You acid etched your knife, glued on your handles, then shaped the handle. Don't you scratch your tang and remove some etching? If so, how do you re-etch the scratched tang? If not, how do you keep from scratching the tang? Thanks for the help. Cheers! Jump'n

    The age old problem! If you finish the scales on the knife you will sand the finish off for sure. You can either re-etch the tang using a que tip or I like to use cold blue (oxpho blue ) from brownells

    So how bad can it get if one is using a non-stabilized wood? I’m using olive wood from cheap cutting boards, and it seems pretty dense and “stable” in the usual sense of the word…what’s the worst that could happen?

  • @Aleeknives

    @Aleeknives

    I use a lot of wood that isn’t stabilized. Using stabilized wood as a relatively new or concept anyway
