👉Ellsworth Kelly at the Fondation Vuitton: an American in Paris
Today I'm taking you to the Fondation Louis Vuitton to the Kelly Ellsworth exhibition “Forms and Colors 1949-2015”.
The Fondation Vuitton celebrates the centenary of the birth of the American abstract painter and sculptor by bringing together around 100 of her works, which runs from May 4 to September 9, 2024.
This is certainly a major retrospective, but one to which I'd like to add a few caveats.
So, before I share my views on the exhibition, let me take a look back at Kelly Ellsworth and discover his place in art history, exploring his connection with the major artistic currents of his time, as well as parallel trends in Europe and France. We'll also examine how, by drawing inspiration from nature and the world around him, Kelly renewed abstraction in the 20th and 21st centuries

♿ People with reduced mobility:
Entry is free and priority for disabled people with an accompanying person or for disability groups, on presentation of proof.
Priority admission is given to disabled people and one of their companions. Priority access to the ticket office is also assured for visitors unable to stand for long periods.
