I'm still blown away by how quickly the "I love you" escalated things😂no preparation, no hints or heads up, nothin. He just said it. They really weren't concerned about causing heart attacks🤣i had to pause and take a few minutes to process it.

Well, I think we've had 22 seasons to prepare for just that moment. I'm more concerned that season 23 will be the series final season. Mariska could go through a full episode, not say a word and still hold court. I'm not asking for a lot just 10 more seasons.

I just love at 0:33.... It's like he just realized that he said it out loud in front of everyone and was just laid bare; then he had to 'cover' himself to include them all. So raw. The LOOKS these two have exchanged over the years just speak volumes - best chemistry between actors I think I've ever seen.

I've seen comments about how he's not really 'grieving' Kathy, but the fact is the audience in general were never really 'rooting' for their marriage - not because it was a BAD thing, but c'mon..... it's TV; it's not supposed to be always realistic. We want Olivia and Elliot to get together! They're just too in sync in their emotional scenes - it's hard NOT to root for that.

@@karen4critters idk how I feel about them together romantically. If they want to build on that I might like it but they’d have to make it last otherwise don’t mess with their heads like that. But I don’t want them to say they’ve always been in love. I think that paints a bit of a pathetic light on them both. Loving someone doesn’t mean being in love with them. They’re relationship is deep and irreplaceable but adding a romantic element would be a whole nother kind of pressure. I like El with Kathy. It was different but not in a bad way. It felt like a real marriage. They did love each other but it wasn’t always about doey-eyed emotion sometimes it was about keeping their vows and fighting for them. Liv and El were so different because they walked into battle trusting each other with their lives for almost 14 years. That’s a very unique kind of bond, but adding romance... I just don’t know. I mean they both run kinda hot. I’d just be worried that it wouldn’t last and then everything they had would be ruined.

@@karen4critters which would honeslty be tough a tough sell for the writers and a few weeks ago I might've considered impossible but given the amount of ground we've covered in a very believable way these past few episodes... idk man. My expectations were exceeded in the first episode and now they just keep one upping themselves. If they decide to go that direction they could pull it off. But if they are endgame, no rush cuz its not like we need a happy ending just yet. I wouldn't mind a few more seasons of just being besties.

And personally... I think she's stunning as ever and aged very elegantly. And I respect her for not being so insecure that she goes the botox and plastic surgery route like a lot of celebrities. But even if she hadn't aged well like wtf do you want a time machine? People age, kid. Part of life. Actually the difference in her and Elliot's faces over the years kind of warms my heart and makes me tear up. Might sound weird but it just shows how much messy beautiful history they have. I mean they were just babies when this started and they've pretty much spent their lives together. I dont mind a visual reminder of that, it just makes me love them more.
