Ellie, when this came out I was homeless, in and out of jail, and unhealthy. Now I have a house, a good job, and a husband. This song and “Clover Cage - The Lone Dancer” are the two songs that helped with my depression. I just want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together. I love you ❤🎉

My mum lost her fight with cancer aged 44 in 2017. This was played at her funeral and me and my family cannot express hiw much we miss her. On her grave are the words "How long will we love you as long as there's stars above you" Save us a seat up there and thank you Ellie for making a beautiful song for my mums final breath xxx

I dedicated THIS song to my children, while I was in the hospital. I think this song, kept me alive to live for them.

I’ve always loved this song. Always thought of it as a love song. I’m so saddened by the comments of people here that have lost their loved ones 💔 I’m listening to this now because my middle daughter who is 23, has been fighting bulimia and anorexia since she was 14, and is going through the toughest time of her life now. She will win. And I’m so sorry to all of you that have lost loved ones ❤

I played this song yesterday at my wife memorial service, after 37 years of marriage, first day I met her, till she died in my arms in February 2021, ages 56, I new I loved her and always will, she always said that she loved me to the moon and my reply was I love you to the moon and back.

Played this at my baby's funeral and we couldn't have chosen a better song I struggle to listen to it these days but now and again it's nice to just put it on and remember him. My Grandma lost her fight against cancer in September 2014. Whenever I hear this song, it really reminds me of her. I still think about her everyday. She will always be stored in my heart.

Sara Hook Me too. I am the father of a three year old girl and this story broke my heart. I was heartbroken over the fact that this innocent little girl had to feel the pain she did. She was a little fighter though and always seemed to wear a smile. I feel so bad for her parents and little brother. I don't know how you can live with a loss like that.
