This is one of my favorites ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I believe this is the second in the long series of Ellery Queen mystery stories, the first being The Roman Hat Mystery. And both are GREAT mysteries! I think it was first published in the 1930’s (???) PLEASE find more for us ! Thank you. 😊
Pretty high faluting. Used the word pince nez twice in the first hour. And then again at about 1:03. If this keeps up I might have to start a drinking game. 1:24 and pince nez has been mentioned twice more. Definitely a “Hi Bob” drinking game.
Ohh Very annoying main characters. I feel like the author was so bussy to try show us how smart they are but they ended up like people having a too high opinion of themselves . And SPOILER . . The thing that annoys me the most . So a woman and her daughter go missing . Mother is found dead but no one panics , search or wonder if the girl is dead . One after another people find out , including the detectives but there is no mmm what if she is still alive and prisoner of the murderer . No big search for her . By the end of first part there is some info where she has been and author tries to make her the suspect but still no big search . At this point they have no idea where she is , is she another victim or the guilty one , alive , dead but no , no big search . No panic . The detectives are bussy talking about little details to show us how smart they are .
