the pain that we all felt when kobe passed is what i believe to be the true meaning of human connection. its where we all were so impacted by kobe that no matter where we were at the moment..... when we heard the news...everything changed. this man was a superhero. he pushed to the max on everything he was passionate about. he embraced having girls. he left a beautiful path for all of us to follow ......no matter who we are. guys be grateful for whoever loves you. show them love verbally and physically. especially children. spread the best thing about u. your smile your kind heart. don’t doubt that your a good person. manifest it. don’t obtain negativity. spread love man. u can do it.

I’m going to be honest here, I really enjoyed Ellen’s version. Instead of giving a long speech, she showed the audience the good times when Kobe was on the show. Don’t get me wrong I loved the speeches people like jimmy Fallon, jimmy kimmel, James corden and many more gave. But Ellen’s made me remember him for his good moments.

I keep picturing the parents trying to secure their children by wrapping themselves around their young bodies. As a parent i know they thought, "please just make them ok. Forget about me" My daughter is 13(son 16) and I can't imagine.

Not being a sports fan, I only knew who Kobe was by name. I didn't know much when I heard the news, but after looking at so much content on him, I can't help but feel as if I'd known him forever! He's just one of those pure genuine people who you click with instantly! What a huge loss. :'( R.I.P Kobe Bryant, Gigi, Christina, Payton, Sarah, Are, Keri, John, and Alyssa. We should pray for Alexis Altobelli especially. She lost her mother, father, and older sister in this crash. She lost everyone in her immediate family except her older brother who is a scout for the Red Sox, and that day will always be overshadowed by Kobe's death. Her life will be difficult.

I was never a fan of basketball, or a fan of Kobe, but he seems like he was such a great guy and that he would be an amazing friend. I truly do think we lost an amazing person and I didn’t even know him.

Same with me! And now I get tearful when I see a video about him doing good or giving encouragement to others and telling that woman reporter that her unborn baby is a blessing from God - that right there is a pro-life man! ... He went in such a sad way, especially that it could have been avoided.

Kobe was a life force. He loved & inspired everyone who let him, but especially his family. Imagining him trying to cover his little girl telling her everything will be okay is absolutely gut wrenching💔

More details may come out soon to contradict this....but I think right now officials think it was an instantaneous crash. The pilot was fooled by the heavy fog, thinking they were higher than they were. It was more like...one second they think they are flying safely, the next second they crash into the hillside going 180mph. Literally...one second they were alive, the next they weren't. So sad, but almost a blessing in disguise if it was instant.

Growing up, I wasn't even a fan of Basketball. But I was a fan of Kobe Bryant. He truly was like a superhero to kids all around the world, fans of Basketball or not. Rest in peace Kobe, Gianna, and the 7 others who lost their lives that day.

What an ginormous tragedy for Kobe's family and all the other families of the the members of the other people on the plane...It's soooooo surreal...Life is fleeting and we just don't know the hour or the moment we will leave this earth....Kobe left some Gooooood Mamba Spirit on this Earth.....What kind of spirit will we leave behind? That's Real talk..Oh yeah his smile lit up the entire room...

i hope that it gives the family comfort that he left them with a legacy to hold on to. The children and the wife will at least be taken care of for a very long time. ALOT of celebrities don't even get to this level, let alone they have money hungry strangers come and claim their estate. What a tragedy. This.. I can't.

You understand the person who dies was really something else when, even though you didn't know him very well (I've never followed basketball, I knew him only by his name), you feel in the same way the sadness that everyone is feeling and you start to inform yourself about the person that has passed away and the more you do the more you fall in love with it. In my opinion this just has to be the destiny reserved to some of the greats, and there's somewhat positive in this

It's really hard seeing Kobe being remembered and seeing his love, passion, genuineness.... its haunting to think about his final moments with his daughter and close friends..

If I wasn't alive to see Kobe with my own eyes, I might not believe this man was real. He's almost like a myth. I would never believe there was a person that went through the extreme lengths that Kobe did to be excellent at not only basketball, but literally everything that he pursued in life. The discipline, commitment, seeking of knowledge, eye for detail, along with his supreme confidence, charisma and passion for learning everything; from basketball and all it's intricacies, to multiple languages, to business, to writing novels, to poetry, to film-making, the list goes on. There was and never will be another like Kobe. People say a great person is a "1 in a million" or even a billion, and think that it's a huge compliment. Kobe was even rarer than that. I'll miss you forever Kobe. Now you can rest. Mamba forever ❤️
