To people who don't know she's lost 3 babies in the last year. I'd imagine she has a right to look stressed and not be too open about this pregnancy. Pregnancy is stressful by itself but when you have had Loss after loss after loss it's more stress because you're worrying if that one will make it.

Plus she said at the beginning of the interview she didn’t want people to know the sex of her child yet but Ellen literally spent this interview trying to figure it out. If an interview is awkward it is the hosts fault not the guests :/

Ellen & Carrie would have already worked out the format of the interview ahead of time. They don't do spontaneous interviews on those shows, so Carrie would have known what to expect & how to handle it.

I don't get the negative comments. I guess people who are cringing at this interview don't really know her personality. Carrie is very introverted that's just how she is . I think she was also guarded because she was trying not to slip the gender to Ellen. Regardless, I guess everyone isn't for everyone but I love Carrie regardless.She's amazing!!

Who knows, she may not be having a girl right now at all, but maybe she miscarried when she was supposed to have a girl and that's where her mind went. You really don't know.

I love this interview!!! Carrie had been through so much before this interview with her miscarriages and her fall incident.... it's nice seeing her out and about again! And the 'Cry Pretty' album is amazing!

I do love Ellen’s playful spirit and I know it’s nothing malicious but I think it’s a little rude to continually ask your guest questions that they don’t want to answer. Respect that she doesn’t want the world knowing. You can tell she is uncomfortable like “comon, please change the subject.” Because what if Ellen did trip her up and make her reveal. She just ruined a special moment for a soon to be mom.

Sam Sutter I do think she kind of crossed a line that day.She probably didn’t mean to,but she did.After what Carrie’s been through,I can see why she wants to keep the gender private.Carrie’s a pretty private person anyways,so this was just too much prodding on Ellen’s part.If I was in her shoes,then I wouldn’t want to reveal my baby’s gender on live TV or answer questions I didn’t feel like answering!!

TMB 95 I don’t think that’s a valid excuse...if you’re over the age of 13. They are both adults and Ellen is aware of the struggles Carrie has gone through. Ellen is a very compassionate person...so yeah, I thought it was a bit rude that she kept trying to get the gender out of her. There’s many other subjects regarding Carries life and career she could focus on.

This was hard work to watch.

To all of you who are criticizing her and saying she seems awkward, monotone and distance, she’s had a tragic past 2 years- having 3 miscarriage for an example. Go listen to her latest song Cry pretty. We’re so quick to judge someone from an Interview without knowing anything about what goes on behind the scenes of their lives. Celebrities and singers are human too- remember that before you start judging.

She looks like shes lost her soul or is super stressed and not there. Seen a few interviews with her lately like this...not sure if it has to do with her accident though maybe she cant move her face as much.

She’s so much more shy since her fall, she’s less confident which is normal, she had it on her face it’s not an easy thing to hide, she even said she feels like she looks different. She was also asked about they baby and she had 3/4 miscarriages before this, if I was her I wouldn’t feel very hopeful tbh. She has a lot of reason to be shy and insecure during interviews, imagine you getting asked about things that bring up a lot of bad memories

I’m sorry if I’m wrong, but something wasn’t right about her fall. It’s just something I’ve felt. I know it’s not fact, but she’s always seemed sad & withdrawn talking about it, and I’m wondering if marriage problems play a part. They don’t seem as close as when they 1st married. But the oddest part is when she got her star on the walk of fame. He wasn’t even sitting with their little boy, and didn’t look too thrilled to be there. It’s just something I’ve observed, and they just don’t seem as happy to me. I just hope & pray that he did nothing to cause her to fall. If so, she would be embarrassed to talk about it at this point. She’s shy and reserved, but I hope she doesn’t stay if she’s in an unsafe relationship. She’s too beautiful and can do better. She seems like she’s holding some hurt back. I just hope I’m wrong.
