Elk River // Tim's Ford Dam to Farris Bridge

Finally made it to the Elk River for the first time and enjoyed the day on a beautiful group float with Dan Truit (Southern Paddler) and friends. Beautiful sunny skies and chilly water makes for a great day on the water.

Elk is pretty narrow up that way. I'm used to the lower end in Alabama where it's basically a lake in size from side to side.

I highly recommend it, sure was beautiful and a great flow for 5 miles or so.
