He indeed is, aesthetically. But, objectively, that title should go to Bitil. He has the standard for pose ability, good and consistent color scheme minus the blaster, but it's a weapon so it doesn't really count, and a creative build(using the Karda Matoran body instead of the norm).

Krika is my favourite Makuta because he never really were like The other makuta He were more interesting in my opinion because the other makuta were straight off evil but he were not as evil. It felt like he were a different character

I’ve always had a soft spot for Gorast, one of the first Bionicles I bought with my own money

I think in the story that these Makuta in particular got mutated by the toxins from the swamp region, thus becoming these bug-like abominations. Well, one things for sure, the Toa should've came with fly swatters and bug repellents.

The three points of articulation for both the arms and the legs are distinguishable with the Inika/piraka build. It became a standard in 2006 to have these types of articulation. Of coarse, LEGO sometimes bend the rules with Gorast and Krika.

Is it just me or does Bitil look more like a wasp than a beetle? I always see him as a wasp.

My biggest complaint with these Makuta is that they didn't have standard masks. I was incredibly disappointed after the brilliant Phantoka Makuta masks.

I was missing Gorast from this set, but by favorite of these is Krika for some reason.

I remember those were nicely refreshing sets. They still used parts from the standard build but they were mixed up and more complex.

Gorast was my brother's first bionical, though he thought its name was mistiko

I like how krika is a quadruped, bittle it biped, and gorast is digitigrad

it's not "approximately" 54 or 51 pieces, just say the number. Approximately means either you don't know or it's rounded up/down, and you can't have 0.5 of a piece. Unless it's in lime green.

To answer your question Eljay, I never got the Makuta Mistika or even the Toa Mistika but I did get some of the Phantoka (both Toa and Makuta) an Toa Ignika

Y'know, Bittle was actually my first official Bionicle set. Also, I believe Gorast's mask power is called "Disruption," assuming nobody already mentioned it.

I appreciate how Krika gives off a ghostly skeleton kinda vibe with the bone white and red. Gorast gives off a swampy toxic green vibe which is good. Bitil gives off a yellow jacket vibe, also good.

2:40 I heard this 12 years too late

The red pump also tends to fall out of the launcher. Mine has been lost for 10 years lol

these are so much better than the toa counter parts.

I have a pro and a con for Krika you didn't mention: the con is that, on my set at least, the bottom halves of his claw pieces keep falling out whenever I pick him up. The pro is that, since he has the Nynrah Ghost Blaster connected to his neck, it weights his head down so it doesn't wobble as much when you have him in a pose.

I got Gorast for Christmas. She was in a bag from savers with her, Norik, most of Hewki Inika, and a little bit of Pohatu Phantoka.

I love these figures, they sell the look so well. Excellent colors, great designs, amazing Kanohi, love love love

Krikas bottom leg pieces are later used for one of the first red villains for hero factory as a sword

I remember seeing pictures of the mistika Toa and machete, and not at all being interested in the Toa. The Makuta are actually pretty cool for this wave.

from the mistika I had Krika and Gali. However I had a bad habit of losing pieces back then... Krikas mask, swords, blaster, torso, and torso armor piece I lost, I have no idea how.

See, you always say that the new joints break constantly, but I didn’t have any problem with any of the new joints. They never broke or anything, they were always nice and tight, the joints I had were great for MOCing. Only one of the new joints broke for me, if anything the older joints broke on me! What about everyone else?

When I got my Makuta mistika and Phantoka I changed the hand joints for the 2015 mold

I was trying to look for Groast in the Lego store before summer 2008.

The reason I like these so much is the ccbs remakability.

I remember there being discrepancy in bitles blaster construction between the box art and instructions

I just got Gorast today and she is lovely, complete even, the only thing missing is the gimmick weapon, but I don't mind.

Gorast's mask overloads other's powers and makes those power go against their owners. Also Voya Nui Matoran Dalu's blades do the same.

I think these were some of the best looking villain sets, they follow the bug aesthetic perfectly, my only problem is they were built up as makuta. Aside from Krika it was fairly deflating to see that the most powerful enemies the toa had ever faced was a mosquito and a beetle.

I recently built gorast with some parts- all she's missing is her nyrah blaster (if I spelt that right..) and the "2008 unity piece" and I also have the ammo AND I'm missing a wing :/

I had him too. As usual, he didn't stay together too long, those shield/wing pieces are just too cool.

Only problem with Krika they could have toned down the red melding to be a bit less since he is a ghostly ice villain and not a fire set.

Takadox was based on a mantis shrimp. Krika is based on a cricket, hence the name and why he has spikes on all his limbs.

The Moldy Cheese reidak is the black piraka. the shadow matoran is named radial. don't worry it confused me to this day! 😋

Makuta Kanohi: Bitil: Mohtrek- Mask of Temporal Duplication. Gorast: Felnas-Mask of Disruption; Removes control of her target's power in use. Used to kill Krika and Icarax by disrupting their density shifting and teleporting, respectively. Light-draining stinger was shape-shifted on. Krika: Crast-Mask of Repulsion.

Gorast wears the Mask of Disruption (used to make powers go crazy)

Gorast's Mask is the Felnas, and is actually the Mask of Disruption. It can throw people's powers beyond their control upon contact. Two uses I can remember are burying Pohatu in a tomb of stone and killing Icarax by messing with his teleportation.

I read BioSector01 & I was right 16 years ago, Bitil's insect form was NOT based on a beetle, he was based on a wasp, why I guessed right was because of his wings & his pincers were horizontal & equal in length

Fun story: I got two gorasts for my birthday and I thought it was awful at first. Then I made a sort of mega gorast and changed my mind. Then the limbs broke. Because as a kid I didn’t know you could use the LEGO pieces once

'My favorit Makuta of the 6 Mainmakutas from Mistika and Phantoka: 1. Krika 2. Bitil 3. Vampra 4. Cirox 5. Antroz 6. Gorast - All six have well Designs, but the Phantokas are a little progress from the Phantoka Builds.
