Been looking for this scene for a long time on KZread. It provides encouragement to the women who are still virgins and don’t have anyone in their life that there is more to a woman’s life than getting married and having children but rather she can contribute to the betterment of society in other ways especially if she has a very good moral character that guides her down that path.

No film could express such fine sentiments, as this. The queen Elizabeth I was strict with her people, but had no better choice, in order to rescue them from being conquered and undeveloped! She played the role of civilisation‘s conductress.

You could argue it's tragic she didn't have children to continue her line, but the fact the instant you're married, a husband ruled you back in those days makes it very understandable. She saw how terribly her father treated his wives and also the failed marriage of her half-sister Mary. She made the best choice available at the time.

@@cg8397 Thats just rumours , but it's not Possible For many reasons , I will state few of them For example she couldn't take the risk of being pregnant even by mistake. U might think she is queen , shecan cover up or abort. But no , it's not that simple. Getting pregnant means she wouldn't bleed that month and the news that the queen didn't have her period would spread like a wild fire. Even the women who used to clean the queen's bedsheets were asked to take a note of that by enemies or even her well wishers. Forgein ambassadors would pay those women to tell them if something wrong happens. Because those foreign ambassadors don't want their king to marry a non-virgin women This was one of the many reasons. There r many more. She was insecure about their power initially and her reign unstable initially . She would never make such a mistake
