@@redbery in the book, he talks to bingley's sister about elizabeth's eyes after the initial ball where they met. she, having feelings for darcy herself, often ridiculed him for it. so yes, he sure did, even though he said she was "barely tolerable" that man still loved her eyes from the first moment.

Yikes the persons in my class smart never talk anything to girls (because ew (sexist kids ) and who talk are incredibly getting into trouble and being really rude to me ( might even say bulling because everything I saw a little smart like from a Ted ed video they call me blahbering (is that even a word bruh) or Wikipedia which hurt me and made me to never speak anything to them until I have to, so now online school is there it is nice we can say there never might be an Darcy or knightly in school (rare) but there is always a Darcy in the imagination.

At first I was "nah he's not as attractive as I imagined" but the longer the movie got the more I appreciated him. In the end, he's definitely a handsome man (though not the most handsomest imo)

As a non native speaker of english, i was shocked how delightfully the sentences were constructed in that book, enjoyed it a lot reading it in my native langue turkish later

It always makes me wanna cry when Darcy says „I love you” standing all wet in the rain, looking so vulnerable and exposed.

I've only watched this movie a thousand times. He's so handsome, but that smile at 3:01...gorgeous! Great job editing this piece!! It's perfect

First watched it in turkish dubbed, then watched thousands time but only the parts darcy appears, then watched in original language then read its books in turkish and english, watched bbc mini series, they should make a movie of it every year with diff cast and sets

Those eyes 😍 not only does Mr Darcy have beautiful eyes, but the emotion in them is breathtaking

his eyes are so expressive, makes your hearts stops for a moment !

Pride and prejudice was beautifully written and the movie does justice to the book. I absolutely adore Matthew and Kiera, they played the part perfectly.

Indeed... entirely wrong..at time it's situation and timing that builds perceptions..love this movie..not because a rich man marries a poor girl..but a movie where a man is more than his wealth and a woman more than her beauty..where both misunderstood eachother,and waited for destiny to deliver..❤️

My love story is kind of similar, but took place in the 1980’s. We are still married and so in love. 5 kids, 12 grandkids not bad for two persons that totally disliked each other, disagreed, and argued about everything. And one day I started looking at her good traits instead of his flaws. I admitted that he was so smart, professional, kind and generous with his employees, and I felt this warmth inside me that got me so confused. He said he loved me from day 1, but I was stubborn, arrogant, opinionated, and bossy 😂. We adore each other and the family we built. By the way, I married my first boss. Both fresh out of college. And It is true love. ♥️

In the USA version they kiss at the end I'm biased and much prefer the non kissing version

I believe that Elizabeth fell in love with Mr. Darcy long before she realized it. How else to explain that she was eager to accept his kiss, when he firstly proposed in the rain scene.

i've read pride and prejudice far too many times to count. i've watched both the 95 bbc miniseries and 2005 movie at least 50 times each. i adore elizabeth and darcy's dynamic. oddly enough i'm also a person who loves 'war of hearts' by ruelle so much. it will forever be malec's first kiss song for me, however it does fit elizabeth and darcy's tempestuous love story too well. i don't mind sharing it for two of my favorite couples. well done.

Matthew MacFadyen is Mr Darcy to me.. as he will always be.. So many comments have been made about him.. comparing him to all those who played this role before him.. everyone has their own opinion.. mine is that Matthew MacFadyen has no equal.. Several scenes are unforgettable.. the hand clench.. the glove worrying.. the proposal in the rain.. the gallant walk across the field in night shirt and greatcoat.. the lovely sunrise gentle nose touch.. and the final scene.. all unforgettable.. Matthew made Darcy live as no one had done before.. using his remarkable eyes.. his amazing expressions.. his graceful movements.. his wondrous hands.. his velvety sensual voice.. he embodied Darcy in his own way and captured the hearts of all of us who love him in the process.. And two phrases Matthew said.. I love you.. most ardently.. and., I love.. I love.. I love you.. Will live forever in our hearts.. not only the words he said.. but because of the way he said them! Thank you for this beautiful video.. it is loved most ardently.. just as beautiful Matthew MacFadyen as Mr Darcy. will always be.. Jen999💙

It's one of the very few movies that I watch over and over again

I wish the 1995 version was made with these actors...idk it's just, I love the old elizabeth, but this elizabeth just fits..ofcourse it's just my opinion and even mr. Darcy and mr. Bingley in the old version are great, but this version hits differently

When he says I love you.. He looks like a teen first time confessing SO nervous

I think that shot where Darcy looks at Lizzy’s house from afar is a pretty important one. It usually gets missed in everyone’s compilations, good job for including it!

This is the best visual version (movie) of this wonderful book!! Loved Pride and Prejudice !! The chemistry of the actors and the beautiful layout where they film it , so captured it all- so wonderfully!!💕

Famous and yet underrated

Still one of my FAVORITE movies/stories 🥰♥️

I love the looks between them plus the little ways they communicate and tease one another. 😊💕 Not to mention the song, it hits the home of my heart. 💗

he reminds me so much of mr darcy. from the way his eyes glisten to his awkward demeanor. his anxious disposition makes people think hes closed off, boring. i think hes so beautiful. the way he looks at me alone, that same silent darcy stare that says so much, makes me melt. thats without considering his character, how kind he is, how perfectly calm and patient. hes barely seen smiling, to the extent where my friends think hes chronically sad, but when hes happy he smiles so kindly and so wide his whole face changes. Hes so good and so kind with children it breaks my heart. When theres not many people around, hes so timid, he fidgets with his hands and looks busy. sometimes, ill turn and notice him staring and hell turn away so fast, especially if my friends are watching him. but other times, barely, when he thinks i cant tell, or hes too far away that it wouldnt look as though were staring each other down, i notice him looking at me with the same stern look. he doenst even blink. neither do i. in a way, our story if very similar to lizzies and darcy, though i could never measure up to her. we have a few months to say something before we graduate and i never see him again. our families would be against it, and the circumstances are more than difficult, but i cant imagine leaving and never being able to. for as long as ive liked this man he has mirrored every quality i have looked for, and its only now i notice why nothing ever worked with anyone else. im stuck between wanting to talk to him, or waiting for him to do it first. im stubborn, and usually impatient, but i dont want to rob myself if he ever decides to do it himself. i wonder where we'll end up. even if i never do anything, ill be grateful knowing men like this really do exist.

Not gonna lie, I haven't read the book yet but I intend to pick up a copy as soon as possible. But I have seen this movie at 5am and I must say that I'm surprised I didn't wake my family with how much I was, "awing" and squealing everytime Darcy said anything remotely romantic or at least looked so shy whenever around Elizabeth 😌

I always found myself so accurately identified by Elizabeth in everything and above all for the way she feels about love.... I see myself through her... The 1995 version will forever be in my Pride and Prejudice loving heart. However, I must confess when I saw this version for the first time I hated it. Given time I realized that I missed the gob smacked moment when Mr. Darcy first saw Elizabeth ... and it grew from there. So subtlety and gradually. Therefore, each time I watch this version I see how romantically and sweetly Mr. Darcy tries to deal with his feelings. This film has only a couple of hours to tell the tale while the 1995 version has several hour long episodes to do so. So context, People!.. As a result, I have come to appreciate Keira’s version in a completely different way from the way I love the 1995 version. Matthew and Colin. You betcha, baby!

I’ve only watched one version of pride and prejudice and I loved it so much and that was like last year. And for some reason I have just been watching clips of this version this morning and I told myself I would buy it next month but as soon as he said “I love you” to Lizzie I was already done!!! £23 bloody pound on Austin’s collection in which I was gonna buy next month but now it will be delivered tomorrow simply because Mr Darcy is incredible!!! The power of Austin!!!!
