If you are playing ranked (as you should because it's just free extra monkey money and lil rewards) you can't use any powers. They are locked for ranked mode.

@@MrVaypour Okay let me explain this properly. If you play unranked you can use power ups. If you play ranked, you can't use power ups and you have a timer pop up at the top if you take to long to complete a round (the timer tells you how late you are compared to the top players) because ranked is defeating the boss as quickly as possible If beat all 5 tiers (Normal and/or elite) either in ranked or unranke, you will win all the rewards from each tier (rewards which you can only claim the first time you defeat this event). But if you play ranked, you will be placed in the leaderboards for this boss event, and doesn't matter where you placed, even if you are in last place,when you open the game after the boss event ended, it will tell you your times and positions in the leaderboards and reward accordingly, with a few monkey money and usually some insta monkeys or powers. So, if you play ranked and don't use powers, you win that tiny extra reward, and since the powers used are usually always "i'm lazy 1 & 2" aka farmers and ability bots, there is no reason to not play ranked every single time.

Same thing happened to me on the t4 boss, round 104, i upgraded my boomerang paragon while magic resistance small bloons were moving towards the end and it couldn't kill them fast enough. I just reloaded round 100, redid the set up then upgraded my boomerang quicker and finished it right after. Keep an eye out on which resistance bloons are lurking and you'll be good

he sold a BRF right when magic resistance came up to afford the boomerang paragon in time. i didn't notice at first and died at 108 too, but when i tried again and sold the BRF i was fine. it also seemed like he waited until ~$600k to upgrade to the ninja paragon, i assume to get more farming in before magic resistance comes up

i won at the end of round 139 with engineer and dart monkey paragon with 502 sniper, lost all my sanity

i though this was a 0 paragon week

The normal is 0, the Elite is 2

Why doesn’t he unlock the subparagon

So I use double cash” (a sin, I know)and I was doing pretty well following this. until I got to the second to last year, I thought to myself “yeah I can handle this without the tutorial”… I was wrong, I spent 500 monkey monies to retry… and I lost lost a second time… so I decided to ignore the tutorial except for one part of it… farm as if it’s the last day you’ll ever farm in your life. And then I win YIPPEE🙂
