solid scouting. i liked how stage 2 was basically a showcase of top-tier mobility while stage 3 really showed off the drak's edge over the other two primaries. a+

I looked up how to get the Deep For Speed achievement, I didn't expect footage of Karl himself!

Soloing is impressive. Food for thought: the game is scaled less than it would be with 4 players (enemies slower, their attacks/projectiles slower, less spawning, etc) *PLUS* 80 nitra goes *waaaay* further with one person. That being said, speedrun scout is impressive. I limp along engy with 4 revives-bosco in the dark babysitting turrets to watch my back, and use all of the revives often. You are very efficient and impressive!

This was really well done, plus gives me some things to try in my own solo EDDs! Thanks for the great vid!

Bravo! This run was sick as heck! Learned a lot and ready to deep dive myself now when I unlock it.

I didn't realize you could play DRG as a pacifist. Superb gameplay! I have nowhere near the amount of restraint you have to not just unload into all those glyphids, and nowhere near the skill required on any of my dwarves to do any of this. I'd buy you my special blend of Freezer Burn (Burning Love followed by Arkenstout) any day. Rock and Stone, brother!

Special powder overclock for the boomstick allows you to blast yourself in the air, similar to how rocket jumping works. Once you get that unlocked you'll be able to do the crazy movements I'm doing. Just takes time and practice learning what you can get away with, and choosing a loadout that fits your playstyle. You'll be there one day. Also, there are other scout mains(I don't main scout) that make me look like garbage lol.

It's totally doable on console, the only thing that's strictly worst on console is aim, but very good aim is not necessary to do what he did in this video

My gallon water bottle popped right when you jump hop shotgun and I’m on my bed with the gallon water so I freaking JUMPED I was not expecting me to FEEL the shotgun vibrations irl but it was the water bottle so I was like woah immersive af the hell lol it even was in the correct direction of your shot to my left foot near it so it was like it shot down through the screen and shook my bed xD

As someone completely new to the game. What exactly is the play with Berzerker perk and why do you run auto reload on flare gun, when you also use Born ready perk

Berserker was to specifically kill oppressors if they became an obstacle on the black box. But I fucked that up lol. And I forgot to change my loadout on the Flare Gun.

Watching this i have to ask: Is there any specific way in which you alter your grenade throws? Or some way which allows you to better predict where they'll hit? Because I see that the displayed throwing arc is far different than your target, which you seem to hit every time.

@@phat-Rat Yes. Those are exactly what I mean: the arc indicator clearly displaying that the grenade would fly by below the menace but the grenade ends up hitting it above anyways. I ask this as a frustrated Gunner main which can't quite land sticky nades where he wants them.

​@@whilliamblamet187 Sure. At 8:15, you can see I'm getting a speed boost from my grappling hook and sweet tooth. In combination with the two while sprinting, my momentum going forward towards the menace is carrying my trajectory a little higher/further. Also, I move my mouse a little upwards. Those things in conjunction can alter how it throws(or at least that's how it looks to me). Also, I currently have 2400+ hours in the game. You'll get a feel for the grenades in this game at some point like this. Practice. Practice. Practice. That's all it takes. I don't even look at the trajectory line, honestly...

I will be honest, even though you played well there were times where you really didn't need to waste your ammo.

These missions were pretty perfect for solo scouting on haz 5 I have to say. Wouldn't have turned out the same if there was a salvage or escort or industrial sabotage. As you saw with the black box, he got pretty lucky with the roll. If it was salvage, all of the guys you did not end up killing will destroy you at the end. Having to stay in one spot is not the scouts strongest play. Sure galloping around and not killing anything is actually pretty easy for the scout. It is not simple and requires skill, no doubt, but I guess I'm just not that impressed with solo scout on haz 5. It gets boring after doing it for like 5 times.

@phatRat did you read at all what I said. This guy was one hit on resupply from going down. I don't have to assume someone's skill level to know that if I wanted to "show off how good a scout I am" I would pick egg hunts and point extraction. They are easy as solo scout. That was my point. I even said it takes skill too to speed run. Do you assume I have a skill problem? I can do haz 5 scout and I don't dance around and not kill shit, I kill everything. And yes, it takes more time, but to me, it is more fun. That was my point, it is a personal choice. But you can reduce it down to "skill issue" if you like. Edit: I did not realize this was your video. I could have taken down my response but I don't hide from it. I could have been nicer though. I know what you are doing is very difficult... period. I was just trying to temper expectations a little. I'm sure you will agree that as EDDs go, this was an easy one for any character, but especially the scout. And I don't know if I would have gone down or not, but our styles are very different and that is why this game is great. I do appreciate you putting this up though and it was a very good video.

@@willernst8376 Lol, it's all good, man. I was just joking. I only said that because of the bit you had in there about a salvage mission, killing me and the luck part. One could easily argue I had easy ass spawns in the last stage during that black box. But nothing I couldn't handle if it went south. And I agree with you. This EDD, in particular, was easy for any class. But this definitely isn't my style. I'm not really a speedrunner. I'm not a fan of it. I'm mainly focused on combat, all my other videos I kill pretty much everything that gets in my way.

So happy to see content like this out here. Imo, this game has a big issue regarding the lack of content and guides/tutorials. So tired of seeing level 500's doing Haz 5 missions and dying like they're playing for the first time on Haz 3.
