Your CPU would be nice to know. Not that bad for the 4070 tho - seems to be a solid Card. :) Thx for the Vid. (Edit: Currently running it at 1440p with my RX 6950 XT, Ryzen 5800X3D and 32Gigs 3600 CL18 Memory. My next RIG is planed for 2025... lets see if Intel/nVidia or Intel/Intel will be in there :) )

i7-7700. I don't plan on upgrading it any time soon because I play games in 4K wherever I can. Haven't noticed bottlenecks yet. I'm hoping with DLSS and frame generation, the 4070 will last me a long time. The energy efficiency of this card is incredible, and so are the temps as a result (even with dual fans). Good upgrade from my GTX 1080.

at the start of the odyssey, the planets were much more elaborate and the textures were not so blurry and soapy, the planets had a pronounced relief, the craters and mountains had sharp corners even when you were in orbit, space was perfectly black, now you don’t want to play with it, the drawing of the planets is disgusting , the graphics have dropped by an order of magnitude, space has become somehow gray again, the planets are blurry, the craters are terribly visible, there is even a video clip from the developers demonstrating the odyssey, you can even compare how it was and how it is now, I have a weak computer, but the planets, space looked much more beautiful, but now on such a powerful computer it looks so terrible, at the very night of the video at a good distance from the planet everything was clearly visible, the mountains of grator konyon and cracks on the surface of the planets, and if you compare the video clip from the developers with the video clip of the channel author, you will see a big difference in the detail of the surface of the planets from orbit. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aaKgx8-inK_Qgbw.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/dKSZmbeFpM6_krg.htmlsi=rE-0uipF9asknqr1

Downgrades before launch are typical. So many trailers for games pre-release look better than the game itself. Instead of focusing on graphics, they should make the game less repetitive and add more content. Landing on planets is time consuming, yet it doesn't pay more than mining or bounty hunting. This game for me is something I return to every 2 years and I play for only 10 hours.

ive been playing 4k for years on my 2080ti, how does the 4070 perform with supersampling turned up to 1.25 or 1.5 or 2

I would wait until the 50 series to upgrade. If you look at the VRAM usage when I was in the station, it was 91% of the 12GB. I had no choice but to upgrade because I'm coming from a GTX 1080, and I wanted to return to playing games in 4K at least 50-60 FPS. This game also isn't exactly the best example of optimization.
