Beautiful. For all the detractors and all the salt, and all the players that have quit and then returned after trying out other space games, there's nothing else quite like it. Do we want more fleshing out, more layers? Sure. But we want Frontier to keep plodding along. Keep going. Don't give up and the renaissance can build... just like DayZ has seen its 10year player numbers climb back up to record numbers with small incremental updates. 10th Anniversary coming up for Elite Dangerous. Awesome trailer. I wish fdev put this sort of effort into promoting the game.

I have to say that I've had more than one person tell me that the exploration series I started recently on my channel has inspired them to get back into the game, so there's definitely something special that's still here. It has SO MUCH potential...if the developers would just go after it with everything they have. Yes, I know the greedy execs over there are why it is what it is and the devs would put in the work if they were just allowed to...just sucks that such shortsighted people get to make those kinds of decisions. I definitely agree with some of the other commenters here that this is hands down the game I keep coming back to when I have a hankering for space. Just wish we could see the dream instead of just continually wishing for it.

That was awesome! I just started playing ED, I have yet to complete any first mission, LOL! I failed the first one because I didn't know how to find the contact to deliver the item. It's been fun learning so far and I like it. I usually play Star Citizen but always wanted to try ED. Now I have two cool space games to enjoy.

This was the first videogame I ever played consecutively for over 3 years...others, I would stop and come back to them once and a while. Elite was my jam. It caused me to add a gaming PC just so I could play it in VR. Now that was an experience.

Elite in VR is just spectacular - with voiceattack really feels like "commander of my ship" mode. Hope they add footfall to VR at some point as that would be the icing on the cake

Yep the day they stopped actively supporting VR was the beginning of the end for me. VR in Elite was/is glorious. But the disconnect with Odyssey and its lack of VR support was where the game died for me. I miss it.

I know the circlejerk to hate this game is strong amongst its most played people, but truly there is nothing like this game and if it gave you even 200 hours then you've gotten more than most games can even hope to provide and you'll likely have only scratched the surface of this big beautiful galaxy.

Great video Burr 07. Once again that Vulture is seeexy! I needed a breather from Elite had planned on up to a year, that lasted about three months. Star Citizen...when it loads...is a ton of fun, but does not and will never match the sheer loneliness you feel when you reach the ends of the Milky Way. I don't think any game has or will ever again. I can almost imagine what our future generations will endure in a non FTL universe as they travel to the stars on beams of light or atomic pulses. Thanks again for all the hard work you and Rini put into these videos.

Incredible how beautiful this game can be. Although, I shouldn't be surprised, as it looks even on a computer that doesn't even meet the minimum requirements for the game to run quite stunning.

Great piece of content Burr, when I cast my mind back to what we played in 1984 and the need for us to use our own imagination, and what we can play now, what it looks like, the additional views, planet walking etc it’s just phenomenal and you’ve captured this in this video, well done it’s great and much appreciated.

Don't think we're getting in-megaship combat, and I don't think we'll be getting a lot of content for legs, but U17 added non-combat xeno activities ON-FOOT, after quite little updates for legs and mostly being anti-xeno (half combat, half exploration/research), so I know it'll be a good one. I came back a few months ago and bought Odyssey. This game has really drawn me in, enough that I really hope FDev will continue to develop it. It's far better than so many of the complaints I see. Exploration has been enormously more exciting than I had expected it to be. I actually find myself eager to head back out after coming to the Bubble to turn in data.

If you watched the movie Tron Legacy you get the feeling many of us have about the Elite Dangerous galaxy. There really is unlimited potential for discovery and new gameplay and it would be a shame to shut the lights off on such a world. Videos like this bring people to the game which is why I enjoy making cinematic videos. Great job!! Superb! This game truly is beautiful.

I’ve been enjoying this’s title for years, before moving on, however I wouldn’t say ‘depth unlike any other’… Unless you mean depth among titles available on PS of course :)

ED has best flight model of them all.

I hope so much, that one day this game will get some more meaningful content besides more grind. There is just so much unused potential. No other space game matches the scale and flight feeling of Elite.

The trailer video FDEV should have made! I hope they buy it off you... 😏 Hopefully with Starfield not living up to the hype and NMS being a different beast in terms of fantasy graphics rather than a space simulator we'll see people returning to Elite in greater numbers. The only game that's kept me engaged for all these years and I'd love to see it grow and grow...

Damn this makes me want to come back and play again. Havent touched ED in a couple years. Might be time to dust off the ole space tights.

Just purchased the complete edition for $8 from CD keys... this was after the console version was abandoned. How is there still no new ships? Crazy.
