In 2013 and 2014, Elio was invited to ‘fill Billy Joel’s shoes’, starring in five very special reunion concerts in the USA with Joel’s original 1971-72 touring band, recreating the historic WMMR Sigma Sounds live recordings. Following on from the huge success of these American shows and along with his magnificent 6-piece band, in March 2014, Elio embarked upon the debut 70-date UK & Ireland tour of his brand new show, THE BILLY JOEL SONGBOOK®; the world’s first EVER national, theatre concert tour celebrating the incredible songs and career of Billy Joel.
This powerhouse of a show, was filmed and recorded live on 2nd November 2015 during its second, critically-acclaimed national tour and features over 30 Billy Joel classics including the massive hits, 'Uptown Girl', 'Just The Way You Are' and 'My Life' as well as fan favourites such as 'Captain Jack', 'Goodnight Saigon' and 'Piano Man'.

OMG the Billy Joel Songbook show is the absolute best show. Elio delivers on every song and, as a musician, I can see that the band are spot on! If you are a Joel fan then go see them, it's fantastic. You'll have a great night.

Fantastic artist who fully does justice to this superb song book. He is backed by excellent musicians also which is the icing on the cake. Go see him on his 2022 tour!
Saw him last night in Hull… an amazing talent.. absolutely brilliant and a fantastic support band. Best tribute artist I’ve ever seen across and any tribute. And his voice and musical ability is up There with Billy Joel himself! Amazing!!
Just got 2 ticket yesterday for May 9th 2024 Bloomsbury Theatre London. What I really like about Elio is that he is not a tribute act, his musicality stands up on its own, voice & piano, that saxophonist is ace also

I've seen Elio 6 times now. Newcastle, Alnwick, Liverpool, Hull, Llandudno; 2 Songbooks and 4 album tours. I've seen Billy live 3 times and, daft as it sounds, the Elio shows are better than the real thing. If you're a BJ aficionado, haven't seen Elio yet, and get the chance...take my advice. Just go!!

As excellent as he is,that is an absurd statement to make after seeing Billy Joel a number of times myself,nothing beats the real thing.

Never been so excited to see a tribute act so much as this . Massive BJ fan so can't wait till Oct date at the Apex BSE. I know I'm gonna be blown away ..

Liberty devito is the reason I play drums. I saw that concert that the BBC put on in 1984 and Libs playing knocked me out. For several years that's all I listened to, Billy and Libs drumming. So to see such an amazing rendition of this awesome song performed as good as the original, takes me way way back to those early drumming years. I have a chance to be a part of a Billy Joel tribute act later in the year, we'll see how that pans out. It'll some feat to match Elio and his band though. Ps Anyone else think the guitarist here looks like Walt jnr?

He's never tried to be an impersonator, he's a huge Joel fan and a highly accomplished musician. Credit where it's due!
Talented singer but wasted being a Stars in Their Eyes Billy Joel impersonator. Write your own material and stop trying to squeeze your feet into Billy's impossible to fill shoes.

Visit eliopace.com where you will find a critically acclaimed album called 'A Seat At My Table' of Elio's own compositions, including songs that have been covered by other artists and also his Christmas song 'What A Day' which was playlisted back in 2009 by BBC Radio 2 and which now receives airplay all over the world every December.

It would be a tragedy if the classics of our time were not played live after the original artists retire. Nobody ever suggests that the Berlin Philharmonic is a Ludwig tribute band, so why make such remarks when world class musicians play the music of modern composers?

Very negative when you consider he's been doing this for near on 30 years. Billy Joel is no spring chicken and the few concerts he does now can never bring back the energy this guy and his band bring to the table.
Almost a copy of the original.... But why should one copy the original, when we have the original... Just listening seems a little like "Oh, was Billy ill during this appearance?" Who needs this? Go and make your own music.... You are trying to be better than the original... This can only fail!
