It's definitely mental. She plays great in semis, but gets to the final and can't get it done. She was better in the USO final than the other ones. It was just slow starts in each set.

Her serve was gone and then her footwork went as it usually does when her serve is off I think if it was a semi with Bianca, it would have been different, she hasn't figured out finals since she came back

tremaine861 agreed. She got up 5 games in the first set. That's a big improvement, sounds odd to say. To think she could have won four more slams by now. It's like she has to start over and win her first slam again

I agree tbh. She played well in this suit and I think against Bianca she could have thrown in some serve and volley. Most of it was mental, though, as she double faulted on set point.

It has just occurred to me that these women does cuss Serena so stink and wish that she would stop playing. You can see the frustration in their bodies when they're being pummelled into subjection, they only continue playing because it's the right thing to do.
