Eliminate this HIDDEN distraction from your writing
I've been writing a bunch lately and I figured out how to remove a distraction that is in almost every writing software. Spell check. Spell check is sneaky since it's such a helpful tool. It fixes your mistakes. But those mistakes will be there when you're done.
All the red squiggly lines are distractions. Temptations. Excuses to stop and second guess your words. It kills your flow.
This tip may not be useful for everyone, but I wanted to share!

Turning off spellcheck is also a mindset thing. When I did it, my logical brain finally understood that it had to shut up during the vomit stage. Now I never go back for anything anymore, no matter how annoyingly wrong. Just this morning I got out 15 pages in 90 minutes. The draft will be absolute garbage, even with German words in there that I didn't know the English translation of right away. But who cares? No one's ever gonna see that draft.
Oh snap. What an idea.
It seems like we have a lot of the same problems. LOL. great tip!
Dang, this is really smart honestly haha
