But that was the era when it was more important for Biden, who I voted for President for, to push for an African American judge on the bench than to listen to a woman. Or to listen to the additional witnesses who would have echoed her testimony. Which he did not allow. Thankfully times have changed. Anita did warn us and it's a travesty that she wasn't listen to. Wait, maybe times haven't changed we had a witness against Kavanaugh and that motherfuker got confirmed, too. The Republicans were in control of the Senate at that time, too. I fully support the movement to have Supreme Court Justices be held accountable, to have clear set boundaries regarding gifts, enrichments from wealthy businesses and corporations who clearly have a political agenda. It should include their wives if they are politically active or like Justice Thomas, Robert's wives making huge financial 'salaries' from those who have much to gain from having a friendly Court justice in their pocket. (Decisions that directly benefit them) I don't want to -lock them up- as much as I want them fully investigated and preventative measures in place to stop these greedy and dangerous radicals from decisions that suit their personal beliefs and financial gain. People often misinterpret that passage of the New Testament, which dealt with capital punishment (as in stoning to dealth) not accountability for one's crimes. Also, in that culture and at that time, Law and Religion were one and the same. There was no separation of Church (or synagogue in this case) and State. So, if your religious views conflicted with the mandated, state-approved tenets, you could be arrested, imprisoned, tortured, and put to death.

Until the entire society is perfect, there should not be a death penalty. There are plenty of instances where people are all but forced to commit crimes in order to simply survive.

They are above the law just like the President there is no accountability unlimited power corrupts completely term limits should be implemented on Supreme Court Justices.
