What do you think? Could it be a good alternative to a paid audio mixer?

Hi! Thank u so much! I've been looking for something like this all day and I thought it didn't exist. I was using Voicemeeter but didn't know it had that option. Thank you so much!

So is Voicemeeter a full replacement of WaveLink? I like Wavelink and really want to use it for my dual pc setup. I have an HD60X capture card with a 2 mics & stream deck plus, on both PCs. I'm just trying to find the easiest way to get sound to capture card & headset while also getting sound from stream pc back to game pc.

@@DarkenedCyrus and then a midi device like the korg Nanokontrol2 can be used as the hardware controller for the virtual faders due to Voicemeeter's midi support. Hype.

Exactly! Being able to use VBAN and adjust/pipe in any audio on a network is also very useful. This makes multiple pc setups with complex audio needs possible as well

Hey Cy! I know from watching your mic vids that you seemed to favor the FiFine K688 more than the FDUCE, have you swayed back towards the FDUCE or did you just choose to use it for this particular presentation? It does sound good on your voice…. Great work on your vids Bro, preciate’cha!

I’ll be honest, I had probably 50 comments on a video recently that said the FDUCE sounded better for my voice. I’ve been using it so that I’m forced to edit my voice more frequently on it. What I will say is that it has a lower noise floor, but it does lack some bottom end. That isn’t an issue with post processing like in the future videos. The USB on the FDUCE is not that awesome, so for that reason the K688 is a better mic all around IMO. For my voice, I might say the FDUCE is easier to mix for me on XLR, but that’s just my voice.

Here from that other VoiceMeeter video. This was a huge recommendation, and definitely getting me thinking about VoiceMeeter Potato if I ever do streams that require more than one mic on my end, slow-mo EQ, etc that I might want to work on. Amazing stuff. Incredibly well presented. Maybe a question that could be answered in a future video / an eventual Voice Meeter course on your site. Is there a way to retain audio channel separation in .mkv or other filetypes that could be retrieved from a recording in say OBS? Just in the event something very particular had to be one-off polished in post.

I own an elgato wave 3 and honestly the wavelink devs could learn a thing or 2 from looking at this, I do have a question though could I take the virtual out from potato and send it to banana running on a seperate box VBAN i have not worked with VBAN

  • @DarkenedCyrus

Totally! That’s the point of VBAN, to send audio to other Voicemeeter Apps on your network.

Great vid, straight to the point. I use voicemeeter paired with touchportal, and it's awesome. I just wish we could change the voicemeeter names that appear in windows. I know the naming scheme comes from the mixer perspective, but "Voicemeeter VAIO 3 output" is still not very intuitive for me when I'm looking for the mic (which I see as an "input"). Ok, one more wish.... I wish voicemeeter could use VSTs natively 😅

@@DarkenedCyrus I used to use it for the old mic and mixer combo I had to separate audio for streaming, but last year switched to the Wave xlr. However I might go back to using it on my wife's setup since the Streamer view is so simplistic. She's not a fan of anything complicated. Thanks for the video.

My biggest issue with this is you still have to use the regular VM UI to build everything and for people not familiar with mixing/Voicemeeter, they look at it and instantly turn away because it is overwhelming. I appreciate what they did, but implementation could be much better.
