It’s the Holiday Time!!! And we staring off with the Funny Movie Elf starring Will Ferrell. Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa's elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn't fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results. Whiite Gold loves Will Ferrel and we were laughing the whole time this is a great Holiday movie for sure

"Elf" has always, and still to this day, been one of our family favorites! We watch it almost every year. Two things I love about this movie is that 1.) It reminds me of other movies like "Enchanted", "Coming to America", and "Little Nicky" where the main character is from a completely different world and, out of all places, ends up going to the biggest city in America. And 2.) James Caan's character reminds me of the character Mr. Banks in "Mary Poppins". He's a workaholic family man who is kept away from his loving family and held prisoner by his stressful job and selfish boss. All he needed was some humor and positive energy (Which he's not used to at first) to wake up and realize that his family is more important than anything in the world. In the end, he eventually had enough courage and righteousness to quit his terrible job and spend more time with his family when they needed him.
Scrooged with Bill Murray is a must
