Yes, as the elevator recalls to the ground floor, Otis elevators display that and the fire hat while the elevator is in phase 1. when phase 2 is activated with the key, the "please exit when doors open" shut off, but the fire hat stays lit up.

At this point it would be quicker taking the stairs

Just checked fire service recall on a set of Dovers today to verify that the smoke detectors triggered the proper primary and alternate recall, and shunt trip. Dovers use a 2389 key.

That's the Northeast UTF fire service key for Otis elevators. pretty rare to come by.

Also, if you remove the key and switch it to the off position while at another floor, the elevator will recall back to the main floor.

I think before you open the door you should touch it first to sense the existence of fire, and after you are sure that its safe, open the door.

good video when i went to the hospital for somthing we went into the garage and they were doing a fire alarm test and the elevator would not come

He did'nt check to see if the safe rays were out on phase 1 or 2. He needs a code book.

I didn't hear the elevator chime during fire service. I heard it before he activated it. Also, bypass is used when the elevator's fire service was activated by a tripped smoke detector. Bypass resets the fire condition on the fire alarm panel and the elevator. It is okay just to go to off if it was manually activated.

The Bypass feature will leave the elevator in normal mode even if a smoke detector goes off.

The otis elevator that has a dover buzz?? When the elevators were being recalled, the dover buzz went off. its an otis!
