Thanks - sounded very good. I have an SE-02 and a B2600 also,.It would be interesting to hear a video running B2600 through the SE-02 (especially through the SE-02 filter and delay section. ) Thanks for all the videos on the B2600 - they really helped me get up to speed.

Hello Samuel, thank you for stopping by and watching. Have a nice weekend! Greetings, Ralph
Great demo, Ralph. Thanks for making and sharing.
Thanks for the multiple demonstration patches. I think this will be the first module I remove when I run out of space. I already have several of the other Behringer VCOs and this seems like the least capable one of the bunch. The 112 Dual VCO is much less touchy to fine tune with its rotary range switch and has a sync switch between its 2VCOs, while the 110 VCO/VCF/VCA module has everything but the envelope and its sections can be patched out individually (very space efficient). All three modules are the same size though, which makes the 2600 pretty big for what you get. Being $20 cheaper than either of the better modules doesn't really make up for that when considering the rack space costs $1-2 per HP for a pre-built rack (and DIY racks aren't exactly cheap either).

This is so awesome Ralph! You just gave me a new synth! I have all of this except a second multi. I have a question though. Wouldn’t running the two oscillators thru a VCA on the oscillator side or does the Ms 1 provide more than enough?I don’t have enough experience to know, but what I do know, that would make sense. I’m wondering if you just simplified it for dumbbells like me? I was watching a Tim Shoebridge video and the passive mults degraded the output by a lot, even untuning it. I thought maybe even running a direct VCA cable into the multi would help? I’m ordering another multi, right now! Lol

It's always better to use some kind of mixer if you connect more than one VCOs. But I wanted to demonstrate that you can use the most basic connection options to make it work with the synth/modules/gear equipment that I was using in this video.

Are there other Behringer synth modules that can be connected to the MS-1 and if so what models are they? I almost got the MS-1 when the price was $389. Now it's $199 !!! I"m glad I waited to buy it! PS - I had a teacher in grade school named Mrs. Baumgartner. It's similar to your last name! Thanks for the video.

The Behringer System 100 and 2500 modules are a good Choice. Also bear in mind that by using a Midi/CV converter such as the Behringer CM1A you can connect all kinds of Eurorack modules and control them with the MS-1 keyboard. Many thanks for watching my content. Cheers, Ralph

Hi Ralph, wouldn't it be better to connect the outputs of the two VCOs to an audio mixer before sending the signal to the MS-1?
@RalphBaumgartl
Жыл бұрын
Yes, of course! A Eurorack mixer or some kind of audio mixer gives you more control over the sound. But I wanted to demonstrate the simplest way to do this. Almost everyone has a multiplier lying around. Have a nice weekend, Ralph

@@RalphBaumgartl thank you, apologies I mean on the Eurorack module used in this video, as far as I can tell all three fm cv controls do the same thing which seems both a waste and pointless, the same could be achieved with one cv running modulations over a mult
@RalphBaumgartl

@@Jin-Hu bear in mind that you have an attenuator for every CV input. This allows for individual adjustment and control over the input signals. The "mixing" possibilities of input strength/signals allows for a multitude of sound design options.

I considered buying a Behringer 2600, but I then read/heard that its voltages are not compatible with Eurorack voltage levels... WTF (not in your regards of course)?! The Behringer 2600 as the original ARP 2600 and other 2600 clones operate on Volt per Octave and a positive V Trigger Gate. That's the typical Eurorack format nowadays. The 2600 requires a 10V Gate. Some modules from different manufactures output a 5V Gate. You can boost the Gate then with the 2600 Preamp as I show you in this video here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/X5-Dk6SFl9OodZs.html Also kindly watch the following video in which I am connecting the 1027 sequencer to the Behringer 2600: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dYF4z7GAYdrLedo.html

@@RalphBaumgartl Or maybe I should use voltage scalers/shifters to convert 0...5V to and from 0...10V. The Eowave poles seem a convenient option for a dual scaler in only 4HP and drawing very little current, no 5V rail (only +/-12V). I use them for bipolar LFOs (or I would loose half of the wave in most cases) and for quantizers in (0...5V) or gate inputs (also 0...5V).
@RalphBaumgartl
Жыл бұрын
@@flourfree2K there are many ways to boost a 5V Gate to 10V. Choose what fits your budget and workflow. BTW, you can also run a 12V into the 2600 Synth. The Arturia Keystep sends a 5V or 12V Gate. Greetings, Ralph

Hello, friend, Just out of curiousity: shouldn't be Behringer be pronounced with a HARD "g" (isn't Uli Behringer German, after all?). Everyone's pronouncing with a SOFT "g", as if it was an English family name... Including a German friend like you! By the way, why is Ralph and not Ralf? Looks more English to me, compared to Ralf Hütter's name - which is typical German. OK, herr Döpfer made the Doepfer company, taking advantage of an old typewriters' issue. Which makes it writable with older fonts.

Hi there and thanks for watching. I pronounce "Behringer" the soft way because I get sometimes criticized for my German accent.
