It’s like you said Joe, this video should have been titled what not to do as a defender. Not to put any hate on the defenders tho, they just need to keep trying and they will get better, it’s how we all learn.

It was new players yes, but we gave them tips thro the game. Must say it's hard for any randoes to put up a fight when you have 3 tournament players on a discord call together against you. But at least they didn't leave

@@Decebal_of_the_Getae i only do 3v3 pr 4v4 tournaments... 2v2 is a no go for me Zoid is my originale teammate from Carpe Vinum day's. You can look at pixi Apollo semi finals, he is there. Also in Linksi's tournament, every game i think. And played in the finals of FightMe tournament with me as well, and some other land battle tournaments

@Hitler Adolf well because I've been in over 10 tournaments, and play vs alot of the best players there is, I think... I CAN call myself the top 1%. Old game yeh, but I do love it 😀 I do have a job. I do have a girlfriend. I do touch grass everyday. When you know your the best, why shame me for being one of the best? I don't get that mindset. 😕

That was hard to watch. You can clearly see the defenders were practically newer compared to the attackers. Very nice commentary nonetheless Joe, keep up the great work. Hopefully the newbies will continue playing and learn from there mistakes.

From the diary of Centurion Marcellius, commander of the 6th century of the 4th cohort, 14th legion of the kingdom of masaesyli: I recieved a letter from the legate yesterday. I was to combine my century with that of centurion Antonius, my good friend. The day was young and the sun shined brightly to the legion’s camp. The air was filled with the cozy smell of sweat that i had grown attached to during my decades spent in the Eagles. The men were preparing to attack the city that was on the plains in front of our camp. With us were the Sabeans, or however im supposed to write it. Antonius actually taught me how to write and read a couple of months ago. Behind their camp, futher to the west was the camp of the Royal army of the Salucid court. We had marched all the way from Africa to Syria (lovely vine and women there, when i retire in five years im going to go there as the first thing) and now we are here, in the legendary Hellas! It wasn’t going to be easy taking this city, however, as there were the hastily combined forces of Macedon, the legendary Sparta and Epirus, who ever the hell are they. Anyway, i went to Antonius’s tent, not too far from mine. - Ah, Marcellius, i supposed you too have recieved the letter, the young friend of mine greeted me. - Yes yes, i have, now lets get a move on you young bugger, we need to hurry if we want breakfast AND not to get punished for missing the roll call! I answered. Oh wait, i have to go soon, the camp prefect is calling, so lets finish this quickly. On today morning we were ordered to advance against the city. Our lads were positioned on the left flank of the army, while the Salucids held the center position, and the Army of the Saba was on the right. The Walls were high and the artillery the enemy had brought with them numerous. For some reason it did not fire, but remained silent. Thank the god for that! The battle begun with our slave infantry advancing towards the walls with one of those damn big siege machines, i believe they are called tortoises. It didn’t last, because the bastards had some skirmishers on the wall. They just cut the slaves in to two halves; one half dead or dying while howling from agony from javelins piercing their body from any possible place, and the other half running for their lives. - The bastards wont give up easily this time, i whispered to Antonius, who was standing to my left. - Unfortunately, old bugger, you are right, he answered. At that moment we were sent forward, pushing the tortoise before us. We took the wall down, and charged through the breach point. The enemy stood in shock while we slammed into them, i rammed my sword right through my opponent’s guts and he fell groaning to the ground. The next one was a younger lad, but seemed experienced enough. He hacked my shield with his axe, and then swung his shield at me, trying to off set my balance. I parried with my shield and went for the kill; stabbing him up the throat and into the skull. I pulled my blade free, and he fell to the ground like a wet sack of barley. I looked around me and saw the enemy pulling back. - Mere levies, it seems, see Marcellius? Look, no armor, just an axe, shield and helmet, Antonius pointed out. I had no time to response, as a new threat approached from the left. Seemed like professional soldiers, mail armor and all. Then something hit my head, and next thing i remember going in against some Royal guard of Sparta at the inner defences. - COME ON NOW LADS, ONE LAST PUSH!! i bellowed to Antonius and what was left of our men. We hacked furiusly against the best of what the enemy could throw at us, slowly we were gaining ground. - Antonius, take some men and go around using that little gap there, i told him. I had spotted some market stalls that we could use to sneak around a couple of our lads. Antonius then took the closest section to him (although only three were left of the initial eight) and went for the gap. My the time they got working on the enemy rear me and the rest of our boys were starting to really thin out the enemy, and the victory seemed inevitable. Then the enemy actually routed, and now i really have to go, but after im done at the camp prefect’s office (suspisiusly close to a tavern) im so going to be drinking and enjoying life the whole damn night!

I had to stop watching in the middle, too much cringe. I don't mean to claim to be any better (having played 0 hours of Rome2), but the second half was pretty much the attackers playing with their food. Too lopsided for me to enjoy.

I can see your point, it's like a stomp is fun or boring to watch depending if that one unit gets crazy kills. But lemme say very skilled players vs very skilled players are ypper mega boring, very many micro micro things that adds up.
