@Neil Chambers I've thought about that, but I reckon in heat that material would all settle down. Maybe if they made little tiles of it though similar to dragon skin armor. It's amazing just how tough those stretch Armstrongs are. Still cannot get over how Scott can fire that pistol single handed. I've fired it in a rifle, and it pushes shoulder well. Meanwhile, you can almost hear the critters, thinking, on hearing the gunshots , *Yum Yum Grub to come* They are not going to be happy , Scott best be careful of not being mugged by critters missing their Nacho, mayo, and all. They won't be complaining about Egg plants though, because NOBODY likes egg plants.

Most likely, the reason why the elephant gun was so successful with all those stretch Armstrong's was because the gel inside them was cold. The cold made it more solid/brittle and less fluid/malleable. A solid will fracture quicker and absorb less energy (to a point), while a gel/fluid will deform more readily and absorb much more energy.

Hey Scott, you often ask for suggestions on what to shoot. How about making a big brick made out of that indestructible bed liner spray? I have seen it coat watermelons that don't split when thrown off the roof. As a 1'x1'x6" brick, I imagine it could take a pretty good shot.

Even though it would end up being a pain in the butt after awhile, I've always liked the idea of a single shot gun. Don't know why, just always have ever since I was a kid lol. Would be nice to see a show down between the elephant pisto and the 45-70 BFR. 😀
That Elephant gun Is So Powerful
Imagine being an observer to this. Secretly watching from a far on a hike or a dog walk.
It seems the last shot deflected down toward the table and skidded along it in such a way to cause the table to flex down and out of the way, zipping underneath the cinderblock and out beyond with minimal damage to the table itself.
If you can find some more Stretch Armstrong I'm curious to see what happens when they are completely frozen. Working your way up the gun chain as usual.
I can't believe how resilient those tough stretchy bastards were! Great video!
Not only did he stop that round like a champ. He also teabagged his mate afterwards.
It would be cool if Scott and Matt challenged each other in the next dessert brutality but they have to use 50.cal pistols and 50.cal rifles as their DMR rifles and maybe a 50 such as the Beowulf as the carbine.
Hey Scott, what was the temp when you were running this test? Curious if the temp played a part in Stretch being a bit tougher than expected?
