I am 5’8”, not really tall. I am slim (I work out and eat a healthy diet) with broad shoulders. I find it very hard to find clothes as most are made for women who are shorter than I. Not only that most store carry the same few colours of clothes. It would be great if there were stores that catered to women of various shapes and sizes. There are some for petite and larger women but there are no more shops or options for tall women. I may not even be classified as “tall” if there was a tall shop. I am somewhere in between. Designer wear quite often seems to fit me better but I can’t afford it!

I’m 4’10”, 78 years old and I wear what makes me happy. Long full pants, bold colors sometimes neutrals, whatever, nothing is going to make me look taller or younger so I’ll enjoy the time I have left. Love the looks.

I could see myself in almost everything. At 77 yrs.old - I see myself entering the beginning of the last chapter in my life. If I’m going to do anything , I better do it now.

Love Ralph Lauren. They have classics that never go out of style and I have been able to wear Ralph Lauren as a skinny high schooler to a plus size adult women and they still make sizes that fit me.

Fashion Magic: good wool trouser suit, silk shirt/blouse, leather accessories and silk scarf. I love the tailored, but soft and feminine look of most of these outfits, except the all-black looks (not flattering to my coloring and too tough-looking for me). I still love skirt suits, too, but they’re hard to find nowadays. There are currently some nice, classic, matching skirt and top sets that I have been buying up, especially those in comfy knits. I love these because I get a dress outfit, and two great separates, from just two pieces. Also, two classic trends that I love and searched for for years are finally back: Polo (collared V-neck) sweaters or light-weight knit tops, and contrast-trim. I missed these from the late 70s-80s and thought it was time to bring these timeless styles back. They look very fresh and “new” now.

Except for the floral dress (a little too froufrou for me), this is very much my style, and always has been! Age 64, San Francisco. Classic Style Forever!

I’m over sixty and not short or too generously proportioned. Unless now a days , 5’7” and a size six - eight is considered short & generous .

Love , love ! Just bought a blue stripe shirt !polo ….. second hand . Plus found some black corduroy a month ago. He has always inspired me.

Love RL clothes, own severals myselfe. I'm 76, 176 cm tall but not that slim, wear L at the torso and M at the hips. They are enough items of RL in that size. But I wear other brands, too 😂!

Really well done. I have and wear many Ralph Lauren vintage pieces. I also have many similar blazers etc from Talbots, Austin Reed, Ann Taylor, The Limited, Brooks Bros, Jones And Company, J. Crew, Tahari, Alfani,Express, Anne Klein, Christisn Dior...I have an enormous blazer collection, dozens. I have lived abroad for over 20 years and have been collecting vintage and end of season sale clothing shipped here fom the USA. You can never find these items end of season in the USA FOR 90 or 95% OFF but I DO get them here. I buy mostly ALL my bras fitted and most of my shoes and boots in the USA only for fit reasons. In my climate, a blazer is often perfect weight, no coats necessary but also it is not blazing hot..a year round Spring temperature. I love classic clothing, the blazers that look best on me are not over long or oversize because I am a petite size 8 ,5'4", small hourglass body. If I go under 120 lbs I look gaunt as some of these models do with exposed bony shoulders, ribs and clavicles in upper revealing dresses. I dont like that look on ME, fine if you like it on you, no judgment here. I try to stay between 120 and 130 lbs. I love combining palazzo boho pants and maxi shirts and dresses ala Ralph Lauren sometimes does on the runway and I look good in RL styled westernnwear including jeans combined with upscale clothing and a stunning belt. I emphasize my waist. I DO go as low as Zara for satin shirts and have three Zara blazers. I spend zero on designer bags. I do buy silk scarves often when traveling in France a little village on the French Riviera, St Paul de Vence has a small shop with lovely light weight silk scarves for $35 USD...many are copies of Impressionist paintings...yum. I also.have bought sale silk scarves from Saks. I like shopping Saks Off FIFTH when I am in Chicago...the State Street store...treasures there at good for the USA discount. Dressing should be fun amd it CAN be creative. I am a hobby painter so love playing with color especially when I am the canvas. It is just FUN! And finding my purchases is a treasure hunt...very satifying to get a $200 to 400 USD for $10 USD! I never wear oversize anything THAT ruins my look being short. The tall women like my 5' 10" sister CAN pull those off and baggy clothing of mamy types including slacks but me? NEVER. I have subscribed! Re the comments wanting a more casual look or being heavier tham these models. First re casual...I often combine my blazers with jeans, straight ones one pr of flare ones Chico's size 0 or 1 usually fits me now. I have one each of dark wash, medium, and light wash straight or slim but not skinny jean and one medium flare. I also have white, cream, beige,light pink, pale aqua blue, lt taupe, straw and cognac jeans.I have Spring coloring. Those are all I will ever need. Shoes are my Achilles heel Im almost impossible to fit flats,,loafers only athletic shoes and walking sandals are easy to find. THAT IS a struggle...boots too arent easy..I live with rough cobblestone sidewalks in a historic town so it is a REAL challenge. Those gummed back heel pads and i serts dont work for me the front of my foot is a B but the heel is a AA soopp frustrating and I cant wear heels even kitten heels catch on our cobblestones and often I walk 2 miles in town due to not enough parking in this mountain colonial Spanish tourist town south of the USA border . Re weight I once wore 1x but gradually over the years lost weight slowly to get to an 8. I had hyperthyroidism undiagnosed then hypothyroidism. It WASNT easy or fun dressing at 1x but by size 12 it became easier, more options for sale for lower sizes amd nicer styles DO look better, just the way the eye perceives as I said earlier, no judgment here. I know from personal experience how frustrating weight can be but I didnt let it ruin my self esteem. It is no indicator of anything IMPORTANT about you, as it wasnt of me. I had no idea WHY I couldnt lose weight...it isnt a MORAL failing! My slacks and pants are of some of the same brands but also I like Chico's for slacks amd sometimes jeans.

I live on the "skirt" of an inactive one...My mother, a U.S.Dept of State career employee, married a wonderful British man and they retired to Buderim, Australia near the Gold Coast in 🇦🇺 Australia she loved it. I'd be pleased to have coffee with you if you are ever in town that is all the time you would have here sadly. Cheers!

I live on the Gold Coast Australia about a couple of hours from where your mother lived and agree absolutely that’s a gorgeous area. Wondering if you visited there many times I guess. Queensland is definitely the best State to live for Australians. My daughter lives in LA Culver City sadly we have been estranged for well over a decade now so I have not had that joy of my beautiful grandchildren who are now teenagers. Before I would travel regularly and stay. I believe the only thing I can do with these sad circumstances is try and have the best life! what’s left! I last traveled in 2018 USA summer and winter trips and South America. I was until last evening thinking of a European holiday…that was until I read and watched all the negative news about our country plummeting into communism the terrible news out of America just awful…I worry about civil unrest with the US elections. Really don’t know how my daughter can live there now with so much homeless everywhere even near her. Too dangerous for her children. After the shocking news I thought they might actually have to sell up and return. Enough of my anguish! time to move on… A little about me New zealand born and have been living in Australia since 1979, Sydney Brisbane previously. I live 12 minutes casual walk to the beach…which I enjoy to stroll. I enjoy a good standard of living after having paid my mortgage off after building a two level home. I designed a high end beach house with the ‘Hamptons theme’ went way over budget but was so very worth it. I am still working as a nurse switching to mental health 7 years ago …at the Gold Coast University Hospital. I’am 73… goodness knows when I will retire…as I’am in the ‘Casual Pool’ I can choose when I wish to work…can travel and be away for up to 3 months and have my job to come back to. I’am still ‘Tweaking’ my home and upgrading my furniture furthermore I wanted to go to Europe next month. This really helps to see different color combinations as well. Even if a particular style doesnt work for your body. I had my colors done again after I went to grey hair. Completely different set of colors, I chucked my old wordrobe.

These women must represent about 5 percent of the over 60 year old women. They are slender, tall and even worse not a sag in any facial feature. Yeah, I can buy high end fashions but I have never had cosmetic surgery and I am 5 foot nothing.

It’s never too late to start yoga and get in shape. Ultimately clothes look better if you are fit. Having said that the faces of these women are suspiciously line free! Are they AI generated or heavily airbrushed?
