Great diode video!

What rectifier would you recommend for car brake light to allow current only one direction. I have 32 diodes LED wired with there own resistors I need help finding out what rectifier would work best. Any information would be greatly appreciated. The power source would be 12v the LED are forward voltage 2.0 and the forward current is 20 with a resistor of 560.

The rectifier diodes then also allows the dc current source since it is passing the positive wave?

I am fairly new to electronics. Why don't you just use an LED to prevent backward voltage? They only work in one direction like the 1n914 etc..

Most diodes will have a band printed on the cathode (negative) side.

Too bad you didnt mention shottkey diodes, they do interesting things - especially in parallel as their forward voltage drop increases with current.
