Electricians' Tool for Armoured Cable - What do you think?

Ғылым және технология

The Blade Runner is a great electrician tool for preparing SWA armoured cable. We've got it back out of the toolbox to try some of these Hensel Electric GSC cable glands.
FYI you can get the armoured cable with the correct core colours - sometimes😉

In your opinion does it work any better than the CK armour slice? (which doesn't work on smaller cables used for lighting etc). The blade looked finer...

I was a really young kid in eastern Germany (GDR/DDR) but I know the term "Gasbeton" until today almost 35 years later. In wester Germany they named the same thing "Ytong". I thought it was the name of the stone in general until I learned that this is a brand name. As I got into electrics I learned to know the "Hensel-Dose". Every electrician and even the no sparkys know whats meant. But I don't get over you shieldet cable

I use a good pipe cutter. It only gets so far but it leaves enough indentation in each wire that I can go around with a hacksaw and they all end up tidy. This looks an interesting tool because it's putting the hacksaw blade onto the pipe cutter. Might get one.

I'm wondering why you sleeve the wires instead of just using a cable with the correct colour coding? Here it's illegal to sleeve, paint or wrap wires, all wires must have the correct colour over the whole length of the cabling (brown/black/grey for line, blue for neutral, green/yellow for PE).
