    Been binge watching the channel for abit and been nice to see someone younger stepping into the field, Sad to see him go. Currently in a 1 year course where i'd end up being an apprentice for some parts so seeing someone step into it aswell is really nice, Stepping into a field with older men having years of experience is kind of intimidating honestly.

    My best to Oscar. Hope everything turns out well for him and you can get him back . In the meantime, you have a brilliant fellow in Cory working with you. It's nice to you and Cory working together. You complement each other. And besides that, he is brilliant with his comic relief. I really enjoy his humor....... and his excellent craftsmanship. I would not be surprised if Artisan Electrics is considered the best. Jordan, please keep the youtube videos coming. What you and Cory do is a little over my head, but i can't get enough of your videos. I enjoy every one of them. I am learning a lot about electric wiring. Thanks

    If you use a bit of silicone a couple of times a week and don't want it to go hard, the solution I discovered was nozzles with screw on caps, Screwfix part 6830X

  • @peter-gn8ey

    @peter-gn8ey

    3 жыл бұрын

    I've never had great luck with those. I usually have one or two disposable gloves in the toolbag that I keep to cut the fingers off of; if I have a tube that I want to keep, I'll take the nozzle off, put a finger strip over the tip and screw another clogged nozzle back on (although I do also have some 3d printed caps just for this). can keep silicone/adhesives/caulks usable for a long time if you get a good enough seal.

    I'm curious if the technique used to wire the doorbell is needed for wiring in a nest thermostat? I want to install a nest thermostat, but I don't have a preexisting wired thermostat, so i wanted to some how take power from a near by wall socket and run that wire to power the new thermostat. Would this be possible?

    The other elephant in the room is the heat alarm aspect, which you only mention in passing. The big problem with Nest has always been no heat alarm. Even their own technical support suggested I buy a different product when I asked about it. That was maybe a couple of years ago & of course the norm is no smoke alarms in kitchens. Has this all been addressed by Nest now?

    You should have gone on the Virgin Media hole drilling course as they seem to teach their installers to use an oversized SDS drill bit and put all of their bodyweight behind the drill and use it from inside the property so it comes out the outside like a Dumb Dumb bullet and busts all the brick face out ... Job Done!

    Hi Jordan, Silverline do set of three sds masonry bits 1.5m long (12,16 and 24mm) CEF can supply them. You can start with a 1m bit to get your angle just right then follow through with the longer bit. Actually quite good quality for the price, drilled a good number of holes with this system and still going strong. If you want the ultimate extra long masonry bit, contact Hilti they will make you a bit any size (but will have to be sitting down when they give you the price!) Great videos, keep up the good work, stay safe guys. Pete 👍
