FALSE!! They F’d this Scooter Up! After our 30 mile ride, he was @ 48%, I was @ 41%! I was in the front of the group the entire time, while he was struggling to keep up in the back of the pack. So not only does it underperform as far as top speed. Range is just as bad! Makes absolutely no sense.🤯

I just got a solar ff lite under $2000 even that thing hits 50mph easily on GPS and it’s got 2 1600w motors that can peak at 2500w all in all 3200w 5000w peak 60v system compared to the 11500w 84v of the storm man I’d almost be catching up to that thing expected a lottt more

Glad I went with the Kaabo Wolf King GT. I got my Kaabo up to 65mph

I think they do change it. "The first batch of Dualtron Storm Limited that Minimotors released had limited top speed. To remedy this rider-reported issue, Minimotors sent a new motor package for riders to install themselves - which is a hassle. Our stock is from the second batch. It's ready to ride, no DIY, and hits over 70 mph top speed."

I guess I should consider the NAMI... My limited has a mind of its own. It will go up to 55 and it hit 58 twice. No where near 74 mph. The Thunder 2 is probably my next choice if the fix doesn't repair this scooter.

If you are not breaking 60mph on the original storm something is wrong. The limited has to beat the original storm it’s advertised to. As far as building your own scooter for a quarter of the price, go right ahead. Dualtron is a great machine with quality design right down to the box its shipped in. To build something as attractive as the storm and have it perform as such you would need your own machine shop and be an expert at milling and casting various metals so good luck with building anything remotely as attractive, Working out of your garage

@@mrdjan1 Yes, did it myself but made no video just a few pictures. It was, however, a rather challenging process, the controller aluminium cases had to be cut to be shortened and installed upright inside the battery compartment. 12vdc buck had to be routed outside into the goose neck. The wiring was so densely packed - there wasn’t enough space left to stick a toothpick in. But the effort was all worth it.

@@orthodium I'm also thinking of installing DTX2 controllers on my Ultra2 72V (same controller as the Strom) because I has burned it out for the second time in 1200 miles, never driven in rain. Have you also had a problem with burnout? Do you think it's from the high temperature in the controller? I would mount DTX2 two controllers on the stem, like the Wolf King GT Pro, for better cooling, and I don't have room in the battery compartment because I installed an additional DC-DC converter for the siren, lights and blinkers. Are most cables compatible with the DTX2?

Hi Jay! Today "KRAMTOO" from France make the first video Thunder 2 VS Storm Limited.... The difference between them was BIG... From the start!!😬😲 The saddest thing is that "dualtron" don't say anything about take scoot back and give to people who buy it, the warranty or an other scooter "Thunder 2".... Everyone who has Storm Limited (the most EXPENSIVE scooter or dualtron), they can't sell it, because all over the world knows that has big issues with performance!!!🙅🤷 The company must do something quick, otherwise they will DESTROY there name before even know!!!!

Yeah I saw that video. I have no idea what they’re going to do. One guy said he tried to return it and they said they can’t because it’s used already!? Apparently they’re gonna give people new controllers and motors but I doubt that’s gonna work out well. It was doomed from the start all bad.🤦🏽

I wish to be wrong and send new controllers in this "upgrade kit" otherwise.... The new motors will burn controllers for fun!!!! V.Sepian already burned them with the stock motors..... Image what it is going to be with the bigger motors (more ambers, more temperature).... This scooter don't make it right... Yea, issues were happening with the original storm too with controllers. They fixed everything with the second batch though. Should be the same for this one. If not, we are all going off for sure.

Hi Jay, although the Storm Limited is not the scooter with higher acceleration or speed, you have the diameter of the wheel wrong. P0 must be in 12 inches, you have it in 11.1. Change it and try again. Then you must release and press the throttle completely while you drive to activate the Go forward, you will get the maximum power available for a short period of time, supposed to get over 60 miles of speed. @NamiOwner 🔥

Thunder 2 also uses the same battery (LG-M50T) so the power variation (steep power drop) from the battery is still there depending on the operating temperature, which is affected by the weather. You will have same problem I am afraid to say.🙁

i know im late by 2 years but hahah, ye so it has double click throttle, so if ur going like 50 and u see its maxed out, its not, u double click the throttle and it will go faster

I did that bro. I owned a DT2 so I knew to do so. This was a bad batch or something. Super under preformed! Dualtron as a brand is highly overrated & Way over Priced for what you get out that box. 🗑️

That is INCREDIBLY disappointing. I assume the owner of that Storm Limited has the updated battery or controller, forget which was funky, for the storm (remember hearing they had issues at launch) but if that is ALL it's offering, NOT at all worth the almost $1k+ more than the Thunder 2.

I have a regular storm and my scooter goes 60 mph and that on flat road and I had no issues with it I got the heat sink too and I had it for a year now I got pmt tires racing tires I doubt that matters
