I'm excited to see how the electric vs ice is going to pan out. The two different ways the motors deliver power are probably going to be seen most in the way people take their lines in the corners, no matter who wins, it's going to be awesome

I may have swung a deal to get into the Energica pits, hoping I can interview the rider and get his feelings on it before hand. There's a lot of long straight ways, which I'm sure isn't going to be great for electric, BUT, it's only 6 laps. About 15 minutes. I think they have a shot, but I'm not normally huge into racing. EV vs ICE may get me into racing though. So exciting!

Can't wait to see the Superhooligan race! I think over time we'll see definite improvement in whatever results we see from the first race, and electric will gain some admiration as a result.

I'd like to think Energica wouldn't bring their bikes to this if they didn't think they had at least a chance of winning. They wouldn't come if they were going to just get embarrassed...right?

Ive bent too many disks with knuckle locks. A chain & padlock keeps mine covered by insurers

That is sad news from ducati indeed 😢. Well at least our Energica's will remain top offering on market for a while longer then.

Aw maaaan so sad to see that SR/S stolen. A brake lever lock to stop it from rolling would be cool too. My guess is the Energica will fly out to the front of the pack before the first turn and stay there the entire time :D

@@ZeroFun HMMMMM not sure what the top speeds are there, but acceleration out of corners can't be beat. What if electric won?? What if electric was faster than all the other gas bikes? :O

Yup, had it happen to my Ribelle, battery went in my disc lock alarm so I took it out of my sidebag to replace and forgot all about it when going to the store, happily the thieves were interrupted but fixing the steering lock is expensive. Ducati CEO is doing a real Akio Toyoda there but I expect daddy Volkswagen to want words about this strategy.

I test rode an Indian ftr and it was disappointingly slow. My wife has a victory octane with a similar engine by Polaris that is noticeably quicker.
