I am trying to autotrace text but it just makes the text white. The masks are under the text's properties but the vectors do not appear with the text. It was just working yesterday. Anyone know how to fix that?

Hmm when i resize a logo and then autotrace it and going to add it into saber the mask changes to the original size, why is that? i want the mask to stay in the smaller size i made it to =) hope you are still around after a year old turorial hehe I could just change the size on the original but thats annoying every time

Thank you for your question! When you resize a logo and then auto trace it in After Effects, the mask generated by the auto trace will be based on the pixel information in the original logo file, not the resized version. This is why the mask changes to the original size when you apply the Saber effect. One solution to this issue is to manually resize the mask to match the size of the resized logo. To do this, select the mask in the Saber effect and adjust its size and position properties to match the resized logo. Another option is to precompose the resized logo and then apply the auto trace and Saber effect within the precomp. This way, the auto traced mask will be generated based on the resized logo within the precomp, and it will stay the same size. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with.

love your videos. But for some reason, though I am following your steps exactly, my logo with saber comp does not save correctly and when I get to the step after CC Kailida, the comp for the logo no longer includes the saber effect. I repeated this several times and same issue. Any ideas?
