Electric flux meaning (& how to calculate it) | Electrostatics | Physics | Khan Academy
Electric flux measures how much the electric field 'flows' through an area. The flow is imaginary & calculated as the product of field strength & area component perpendicular to the field.

Damn how passionate he is to teach revives my passion for teaching, I completely forgot about my exams lol. This is HOW teaching is done. Thank you sir 🙏
Where was this channel all these days. This man makes physics so interesting, like seriously
You saved my life! What was explained in 1 hour was simply explained in 15 mins
This channel is a supper great Phy. and Chem Dr. Although I'm foreigner who isn't good at English speaking and hearing, I could understand 100% of this video lecture. I'm really appreciated.

One of the best explanations I've ever seen in my life!
Nice, to see you that you are back. I miss your video too much. And also miss Ram sir.

Please can you explain why in some textbooks, electric flux is Φ = ∫ E dA and in other textbooks electric flux is Ψ= Q, and in this video too? Which one is correct and which is wrong?

Your videos about physics and electricity is the best. Tnx
Such a great teacher who makes everything simple to learn...pls keep on posting such vid
THIS IS SO GREAT, THANKS. IT REALLY HELPS ME A LOT!!
thankyou sir,i have started loving physics just because of your detailed explanations
So cool.... The best way to get anyone to understand such a complex idea or concept....
The way he teaches is simply amazing!
He really made it so simple and easy to understand!
Thank you!!! Mahesh Shenoy sir and Khan academy for making our understanding easier...........
The energy we didn't search for, but the energy we needed
Thanks for uploading this.....I was waiting for your videos for so long ✌
I'm blown away by the way all these animations and teaching is just out of the universe .. so precise and well explained ! Kudos to all team of Khan academy ❤️❤️❤️
This is such a fantastic explanation!

Thank you. Before watching this video I was confused but now I get it
the best explanation I have seen so fat , thanks a lot
Thank you so much! Beautifully explained
I love your style of making us understand what it is....without making us what electric is....
well explained, thank you
Great explanation sir. I want your playlist of magnetism.
A best physics youtube channel I ever seen
Nice explaination... Help me a lot
The simplicity is insane! I can actually visual everything
Thanks for making this
Enthusiast teacher ever...keen to teach so beautifully 😍
Really like the water flux analogy!
You are awesome teacher. Thank you..
just awesome

@@olaoluwaomopariola4867 I have actually passed out my 12th and am not in touch with physics anymore, so can't really help out with ur doubt :-( But yah, just a suggestion, just blindly follow NCERT... whatever is mentioned in ncert is correct and gets followed.
8:07 suggestion: "... is flowing through _/or rather say crossing/_ through ...."

13:33 why u didn't use dE but E sir?
This made it click
You can teach it more deep....sir
This seems very confusing. The way it's drawn is not fully correct. Electric field lines exist at every point in space. When you put a surface in space, it doesn't matter, whether it's tilted or not, there will be the same number of electric field lines passing in the titled or not tilted one. This is because E field lines exist everywhere so just tilting it shouldn't make difference. This is why I think the drawing is misleading and the reason is completely different why we take cosa. Can anyone explain this ?
Electric flux is probably the toughest concept in Physics for students to master because of the way it's explained.

REAL definition of Electric Flux = NUMBER of acceleration lines (AL) produced by charges travelling at light speed. Electric Field (E) = ACCELERATION = number of AL/Area = Density of AL. That's all.
