5:50 - certified "you have to press the spacebar, or the lap will not count" moment.
You are comparing apples, oranges and pears. In order to do it right, you have to do the exact same electronics(including the batteries and tx)on all 3 builds.

@amain_hobbies_2 this all of this. I get that these look to be personal rigs of the staff but we can't anything from this video. And saying they were easy to drive doesn't help either. The team needs to be way more descriptive of what "easy" means. Loving the effort but please refine so you can help us make a $1000 decision easier.
The Tekno EB2.1 is my favorite of the 3. I have driven all of them this year. The Tekno simply gives me a lot of confidence when trying to hit those lap times over and over again. Beeing consistent is easy with this Buggy. It does have a huge amount of steering and you do need to adjust the steering amount (Rate in Transmitter. We have a very technical track with sharp turns, but i still turn down the steering to 80%. What i like most, is the on power control with the buggy. Going full throttle into fast corners with any problemes. Its made for fast laptimes for sure and it is still one of the most durable and strongest RC cars on the market.
Glad to see you guys did electric and not just Nitro. I'm an electric guy myself. Nitro is the glory, but E buggy does pay the bills!
I would like to see a Kyosho, and a TLR in this comparison. If you add the Xray, then you can compare the pillow ball cars and the c-hub cars separately (or all together). Awesome job overall. I really enjoy the videos.

Just built my EB48 2.1 with hobbywing sensors setup. I can’t get over how smooth the power delivery is on the buggy. Excited to get mine on the track soon

@@MaxDellOrco Those are the two best names. Fo my style of driving and the tracks I drive on, I always prefer a 1900kv motor (either the Tekin T8 4030 or the Hobbywing Xerun 4268). ESC wise, match them up either the RX8 Gen 3 or the XR8 Pro. Both are great, but I always like a Tekin system in my 1/8th scales and Hobbywing for my 1/10th scales for some reason.

Man, that balance on the Mugen. *chef's kiss*
Great job love comparison vids like this. I'm bias toward AE but I like to see what's good with the other top brands.
Nice video!!! right now I've saved some money for a 1/8 ebuggy and I'm torn between the tekno and kyosho's mp10e tki2. What worries me most is that everyone says the tekno is kinda hard to drive out of the box and, as I'm new in 1/8 offroad, I would like an easy to drive car to start.
Awesome video!!
Excellent work guys
Awesome content.🤙
I love your channel I’m learning with every watch. I’m thinking of getting into the hobby but there are so many to choose from. I guess they’re all pretty similar for a newbie. I was thinking of a Kyosho inferno MP9e RTR
@mafracao
5 ай бұрын
I've done that exactly, and went for the MP9e Evo RTR. What I can say is: If you plan on racing and have the budget, go for a PRO car instead of a RTR. The amount of money you'll spend on replacement parts and upgrades to make the RTR truly race-ready easily goes over the price of a PRO kit. Been there, done that. Other thing that helps is to run a car that most people on your track/region runs, so you have an easy way to compare and share setups and all that...
hello great video. it would be very nice if you made more videos like this one where you make comparisons with various brands of machines
Do x-ray hot bodies and tlr really liked this video! Makes me make my decision a lot easier... AE! That's what all my race stuff is for 1/10 scale so I guess it was an easy choice anyway lol thanks guys
Awesome comparison
Thanks bro for the video, so say I'm a newbie what car would you get out of all 3?
I'm a fan of HoBao, and since im not competing in RC races, i just bought myself a new HoBao Hyper VS2 150 amp RTR version. I like the quality build and finish quality of the RTR HoBao VS2 .

I know this is an older video and i havent read the comments but did you notice the exact even weight distribution of the mugen at 50% f/r ad l/r? 1:08
Second part as continuation of this series. Include a Losi 8ight Elite Xe and Kyosho MP10e. There are others, but those 5 are going to frequently be top considerations for many people.
We need TLR Kyosho Serpent and HB Racing in there as well
@derekgardin1512

Yep a comparison with all 7 using same tires and electronics would be epic.
Definitely add the new Kyosho in the mix and as a standard use HobbyWing electronics for all, they're the best in my opinion and run box stock setups on all to keep it even playing field.
In my opinion as an AE driver, running the emulsion shock setup instead of the stock bladder setup makes the car much more comfortable on tracks like that with big rhythm sections. I really like running the FT tapered angled 8x1.3 pistons with emulsion gaskets on my nitro car, I would suggest trying the 8x1.2 pistons on the ebuggy with emulsion gaskets.
After moving on from hobby grade, I race every week.
do you recal which drake set up was on the mugen?
Just getting into rc world and racing seems great a little intimidating puting these kits together and trying to decide what to upgrade? or what is needed? i will watch more vids as i really want to get into this will probably start off with some basic kits before i jump into these 800-1000 builds . these are awesome vids
@bevinsracing

Hey brother just build any kit name brand that your local hobby shop supports...set up to kit specifics in the manual and enjoy it ..most upgrades are only needed for a seasoned racer
looks like an awesome track.
Can you do a truggy video?
Nice track but tough to gauge car position near the far back there guess it takes some getting used to. Wish there were more tracks like that where I am in Ontario, Canada.
Yes, would love more focus on racing… if we could convert just a few bashers here and there it would be good.
This is awesome. I know it’s a huge undertaking, but having multi brand comparison videos for various classes would be amazing. Reminds me of the articles in motocross magazines back in the day. They’d have multiple riders of various skill levels ride the bikes and rate them in various categories with a points system. Maybe some day RC brands would sponsor such an effort. I think it would create a lot of interest. And Ebuggy seems like the perfect place to start. Love the video!
Without same electronics it’s not really a challenge can’t learn much.
i like, me gusta tu video, sigue así

Best content would be: build car, spend a week or two at the track dialing it in, record best 3-5 laps with it. Rinse and repeat for each car/kit. Everything that can be kept the same (Rx/Tx, batteries, servo, ESC #sponsorship) should be. I think it gives a better review product where you don't feel like you have to walk on eggshells (aka "they all feel pretty good"), could allow you to monetize part of the content, and can instead talk about the dynamics of the car and we can look at lap times (like old school Top Gear). Make a final video that summarizes the whole thing: cover the build (quality, bug-a-boos, tips etc.), talks to tuning for the specific track (changes vs box stock), touches on times and then overall ownership review. Mothball the car and later down the road you can come back to it, add performance parts or some "change" and do a whole 'nother video.
He lost some weight. Good for him
Include the kyosho mp9E
Which one was your favorite, has to be one, cant say all.🎉 cheers!

Mugen was the easiest to drive, but it also had a proper pro setup on it. With the proper setup on the Tekno or AE, I imagine they'd be equally as comfortable. A more skilled driver may prefer more steering from the AE or Tekno, where newbs like me need a more comfortable/balanced car. -Brett

Tlr typhon is 3860 grams. No wander it's no good on track.. I'm thinking of narrow the chassis with a grinder so shave some weight.
@yonicozac
Жыл бұрын
What? No the chassis doesn’t weigh more than other cars. No need for that. The weight comes from other stuff, move to the Arrma older motor mount and battery tray, change to titanium links and use Mugen pillow balls, even move to carbon fiber shock towers and you’ll find it will weigh much closer to other cars. Also use cvd on rears instead of dog bones
@philsonnenberg6092

Stock Typhon TRL is so much more durable than these 3 since is stock out of the box as more of a basher. I think the Losi is around 3300 out of the box. As mentioned there is ALOT of extra weight on it to increase the durability. I think my Typhon TRL came in around 3340 with hobbywing electronics. That said I am changing over to a Mugen for this year. I prefer the pillow ball to the C hub so that put the Techno out and wanted something that wasnt AE. A bit worried about spares on the Mugen since my area is heavy AE and Techno.
