This was going to be my comment as well. I pray 🙏🏾 she's okay & alive and not held up against her will by anyone else in the house. All it takes is one caring neighbor to make a call 📞 to look in on her to review her well being, health, living conditions, and what is going on. Someone, please step up. According to the information provided in this video, she doesn't appear to have family and/or friends checking on her 😢😭😭

Code enforcement doesn’t do welfare checks. Why didn’t the neighbors do one? Something should have been done long before code enforcement got involved.

My question 🙋‍♀️ is when the neighbors know the situation and the person that lives there, why don’t they HELP her ?

It’s a shame that code enforcement doesn’t work with the police in situations such as this to do wellness checks. There needs to be a coming together of the postal workers, code enforcement, municipal and utility workers to encourage wellness checks. The neighbors could even call the cops for a wellness check. God bless CJ and Trish for their service to the community. That house and yard were totally transformed

Someone could take her food,,or at least check on her. Surely neighbors would see cars come and go ,if not I certainly hope she didn't pass away.

I have a personal theory, pure speculation, that when the homeowners can't afford lawn service, they are reluctant to come to the door in fear they will be charged for the work.

It’s unreal you live next to an elderly woman who is sick and you can’t help with the yard. Thank god for my neighbors. Y’all did a great job at what you could get. Thanks for taking the time to help this lady. The city could do more to like a wellness check and get someone to mow. 🥰

Glad you picked this property. Great job on areas you could get to. To the neighbors & others in similar situations: meet this lady & other neighbors, Identify yourself, & keep trying until you meet them. Obviously this lady can’t go meet you. Be the one to do the wellness checks & reach out to others that she needs help from. This can take as little as 15 minutes of your time. Let this be your season of positive change!

Lovely job on the yard. It's strange that no one knows if someone is living in the house. I would ask the police to do a wellness check on the owner. They could have the locks picked to get in to see if someone is there . It was great to see you talking with the neighbors and then discussing the job. My goodness what a jungle that yard looked like. God bless you and your son for taking it upon yourselves to whip this homestead up into a very nice yard. What a transformation! Most people that live around it, have taken several looks and walked away. I'm happy you 2 have taken your time and gotten it taken care of. We also had in person town meetings with pot-luck meals. It was true democratic governance in person. I knew I wanted to raise my kids in a place where neighbors helped each other, and schools were small classes

it's a wonderful thing that both of you did, But i am appalled at the fact that the people in the neighborhood are so inconsiderate and uncaring as to not take care of that little old lady's yard for her. They want the city to act, what's wrong with the people doing something. knock on the door, check on her, help her out ,call authorities . Mowing the yard would not take long at all especially if several neighbors worked together and would help the look of the neighborhood tremendously. I know everybody is to busy but everyone can find a few minutes somehow.

She could have fallen and can't get up, but nobody seems to care. Maybe somebody could help her with her groceries, do something for the lady for heavens sake. Nope the neighbors just complain. How sad is that?

Thank you for the work you do on behalf of those who can't. As a retired, disabled lady I have friends who check on me regularly and I am friendly with my neighbors so I hope if I was ill, I would get help. These neighbors don't seem very friendly.
