Elder Scrolls: Skyrim - The Full Story

Ойындар

The birth of a hero in a world of chaos, the story of the Dragonborn against the destruction of Alduin.
Hey guys! This is the full release of the series in its 2 hour entirety like I promised. If you have already watched the 8 separate pieces then you have already seen it all, this does not add anything new. This is the video as it was presented to my patreon supporters more than a month ago.
It took me an entire month to do this, from the planning phase to script writing, all the way to the editing. It was a very lengthy process but i am very satisfied with the result and i hope you are too! Enjoy :)

    The funny thing about Khajiits is that they aren't always humanoid but they always keep their intelligence. Your mom can be a bobcat and your dad can be a housecat and you could turn out humanoid, it all depends on what moon phase the Khajiit is born under.

    i believe that tamriel was originally a D&D world. if you have ever attempted to create your own world in D&D, you would know that it is time consuming and a lot of thought goes into it. you dont even have to detail everything all at once, you can make it up as you go. you just have to keep in mind that it has to make sense. this explains why there are so many mysteries in skyrim and the elder scrolls. maybe Todd Howard and associates have already fleshed out the details, or maybe they havent. maybe videos like these are what they actually use for insight into thier own world.

    @@mrsharkva That's debatable, I'm not saying you're wrong but I have not seen any definitive proof that Bethesda took inspiration from the lore established within the forgotten realms, if anything it's the opposite of that statement. Though sure, it may be inspired from very early D&D as the elder scrolls series was fairly new, though I'd argue that isn't the case due to D&D not yet being a household name and every novel writer or worldbuilder was trying to create something substantially different from their competitors. Though newer entries into the elder scrolls may begin to feel more like D&D as many pieces of fantasy media are nowadays, but the elder scrolls itself and Skyrim has little to no ties to D&D's various settings and/or concepts and seems to be entirely unique in almost all of it's aspects. Yes thing's like restoration magic for example may seem extremely similar between two franchises, or even be the same, though the concepts of these magics and a few other topics found within Skyrim or D&D aren't unique to them 99% of the time. D&D was itself heavily influenced by a previous game called Chainmail and was also inspired by fairy tales and folklore Skyrim may have the same concepts as D&D to some and vice versa, but these respective media's didn't create these concepts Channels like XP to level 3, The Rune Smith, Matthew Colville and WebDM have made various comments on this elder scrolls uniqueness over the years as it really is it's own thing entirely. Skyrim can feel like D&D but when looking over the elder scrolls lore and mechanics in it's entirety it doesn't fit with or feel like D&D at all.

    Yeah but by helping the Stormcloaks win the war you also help them seperate Skyrim from the empire, which in turn means that Skyrim isn't under the empires protection anymore so the elves could do whatever they wanted and Skyrim would be helpless because its resources and manpower is severly exhausted after the great war and the civil war, that would also weaken the empire once the war with the Aldmeri Dominion picks up again. TL;DR : Helping the Stormcloaks lowers the chances of winning against the elves in the long run

    @Pinkel Wurst Ulfric is near-sighted megalomaniac that only cares for the high throne of Skyrim and disguises his power lust as a stand "for the Nords". The Thalmor have been using Ulfric as a tool for furthering their agenda for years, and although Ulfric isn't entirely cooperative, he is at least somewhat aware of this. The Thalmor don't need the Empire at its height of strength again for the next war, hence starting and maintaining a proxy war in Skyrim to at least distract and damage some of the Imperial forces while also preventing an entirely new region from being brought into the Imperial alliance. Even then, Ulfric still pushes on. However, the massive and powerful forces waiting for the clearing of the Pale Pass ingame would decimate the Stormcloaks, but even then Ulfric wants to see if he can get to the seat first. Fuck Ulfric.

  • @jamesmccloud7535

    @jamesmccloud7535

    What?? the seat of Skyrim will always be a nord the only difference is if it is supported by the empire or not. It is true what the guy said about ulfric he is thirsty 4 the crown not mentioning the fact he used the way of the voice in a vile and forbidden way... to show off his strength and to use it as a means to war. You claim he is a Nord and that is true, but you can't ever say he is one with honor or a Nord to follow. He is short-sighted, doesn't understand the motives the empire has, the reasons they T E M P O R A R I L Y banned the woship of Talos until they fight with the Thalmor again. If they lose, the Thalmor takes Cyrodiil, then Skyrim. If they win they unify all the "human" provinces AND bring back the worship of Talos. If you are willing to follow a man as stubborn as Ulfric then I guess you guys share in that stubborness.

    What I've noticed is that Skyrim really does have a great in-depth story, but it's buried in lore and investigation. This is the same kind of storytelling that Dark Souls (a series I adore) get praised for. I think Skyrim was so accessible to a general audience that they expected some story that was straightforward, but Skyrim's story isn't straightforward. The storytelling is game and lore knowledge piled upon game and lore knowledge. And it's delicious to delve into.

    Septimus isn't mad only because he read elder scrolls, though it doesn't help. He is mad in part due to his pact with hermaes mora, the daedric prince who hoardes knowledge from mankind, and offers it to them in exchange for either becoming his eternal servants in oblivion (miraak), gathering more secrets for him to hoard and/or losing their sanity (septimus). whether or not you want to serve hermaes is irrelevant to him. He is masterful at manipulating the world in such ways that you end up doing him favors because you need to accomplish what he wants you to for reasons that have nothing to do with him. Mora doesn't care for mortals at all and like most daedric princes, he just likes messing around with mortals. Daedra are essentially just gods who don't like mortals or mess with them. There are plenty of beings who are either neutral or like mortals present in the planes of oblivion as well. The 8 original divines are just the ones who participated in the creation of the world.

The actual reason he/she can understand the shouts is because when they absorb a dragon soul they also absorb the dragon's knowledge and understanding that is also why you don't need a dragon soul to unlock the Dragonrend shout.

His name is Tharon, full name agent Valandil Tharon Isilrah, which is my Elven name. After a short while he became good, turned against the Aldmeri Dominion and saw his own government as a threat to all other life. So he became a Talos worshipper himself and came to believe in Talos as a god, after arriving in Skyrim he came to see the beauty of Skyrim and have a deep understanding and connection to its people. He would become a hero who would put all of Skyrim's people first, their savior, who defeated Alduin, the vampire menace and Miraak, and fight for Justice.

    Then again, considering a Dragon desires power... You would think becoming a Vampire Lord would entice the Dragonborn. Alas, tis' but a legend we'll find out sooner or later. • @zoroarkdx4491

    @zoroarkdx4491

    Actually, on the thought of it, let me come back to speak about it. There's a trailer with Lord Harkon mostly speaking. About which side you'll take. Considering the trailer mostly delves into the Volkihar vampires and the end of the trailer has the Dragonborn approach the audience with glowing eyes, it's a good bet he sides with them. Not saying it's canon, but a _very_ likely good chance he does. Power is what dragons strive for, yes? So does the Dragonborn, right?

  • @FuzzyLittleBastard

    @FuzzyLittleBastard

    6 жыл бұрын

    The goal of the vampires in Dawnguard is to take over the world and blot out the sun, yes? Isn't that one thing that the dragonborn is against and trying to stop, world domination? If the Dawnguard wins, the future remains largely unchanged, and as it was. But if the Vampires win, we will see future games tell of how the sun was blotted out and vampires took over skyrim. Its only logical that the dragonborn chose the dawnguard, because its considered canon that hes not evil. This isn't like the civil war where both sides have an equal chance of winning, if the vampires win that will be a MAJOR canon event, one that I am not sure bethesda would want.

  • @zoroarkdx4491

    @zoroarkdx4491

    6 жыл бұрын

    The Dragonborn is trying to stop _Alduin_ as part of his destiny, there's nothing saying he isn't evil nor good. A hero of one side is never said to be a hero for the other. Since Auriel's Bow would be in the Dragonborn's possession, he could occasionally use the bow to blot out the sun (as in, he uses it every month or half a year so the crops don't get enveloped). On the other hand, the Last Dragonborn isn't a vampire in the Dragonborn DLC trailer (if it even showed him) so it's likely he either cured it or there is a possible chance he sided with the Dawnguard. We'll only know once ESVI is released. Who is to say both events are canon and they wiped each other out huh?

    Awesome summery of the main quest in story form. ^w^ And I agree to your thoughts of the dragonborn not having killed Paarthurnax. I mean, he is the only Dragon that is actually an ally of the Dragonborn. Aside from maybe Odahviin after capturing him in that trap. And of course the enormous Bone Dragon that is bound in the Soul Cairn called Durnehviir. And the remaining dragons that are on the throat of the world that celebrate the end of Alduin. I am still sad that the Dragon you can ride on when you travel to the final battle with Miraak, dies during the battle though. Poor Sahrotaar... And I think that Alduin`s soul was recalled to Akatosh to be cleansed and be set right and too return to his true task. Which will probably be a long time. ^^ And seeing as Alduin is the END of time for the world. He will return, but probably will not be the antagonist. ^^ He will probably return when teh developers will find the need to reboot the series. xP lol

    Well simply put that to this day 2019, 8 years after Skyrim was released there still havent been a game half as good, and people still play the game thanks to how good it is and especially the mods!!!! My god this was a mega mega mega good game when it was released hope that we someday in the future when we revolted and MURDERED the industry destroyers aka mmo creators and mmo games the gaming industry will once more be about making good games and not about making trash mmo's for the money then will see a new Elders Scrolls game just as modable and just as good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I’m gonna go ahead and say, in my opinion, the witcher 3 is a far superior game to Skyrim in basically every way and that doesn’t mean skyrim isn’t good, it is, its one of the games of the decade for sure but I truly believe everything skyrim does the witcher does infinitely better in basically every way.
