I just think about this family in California that Elder Kearon lived with saying, "Hey, do you remember that English kid that lived with us 37 years ago? he's now one of the 12 apostles of our church." HOW COOL IS THAT?! It makes me think that we are never speaking with mere mortals; God has a plan for each one of us. And it's a reminder that we should always be teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. I can't wait for General Conference to raise my arm to the square and sustain this wonderful man.

He spoke in my stake back in 2019. I was blown away by the love he radiated! He had an expression of true joy, love, and admiration as he listened to each speaker and as he frequently looked out into congregation. His charity was tangible in the room in a way that I hadn't experienced before! Ever since then, I had hoped he would be an apostle someday. I've heard other people's personal stories of interactions with him, and all are the same about him being Christlike, humble, and helping every individual feel special. Truly an amazing individual fit for a huge role ❤️

I'm a part of a group of members who are always overlooked, those with mental illness, zero family life and come from a background of severe abuse, not all of us were fortunate to be born into loving families yet who are constantly fighting within themselves to want to stay, I know that the Savior knows what I've gone through, it would be nice sometimes to not be alone and left out, I've contributed thousands of names and I thank those who've I've never met who have helped do their ordinances, I will admit I will be grateful when my mortal life is over, I choose to be kind regardless of my circumstances, I would like to know if Elder Kearon is still in contact with that CA family.

Thank you so much for posting! I too struggle with several developmental disabilities. You are a great example of being faithful to Jesus Christ, despite the challenges you go through. Many people on the other side of the veil of death are greatful for your selfless service to them. You are in my prayers.

I remember him when he was a single guy attending the Brittania YSA ward in London, roughly 35 years ago, a nice soft spoken guy, chatted with him on a few occaisions, i'm almost shocked all these years later he is now an Apostle, so we now have an ENGLISHMAN is the Quorum of the Twelve, God bless you Patrick.

Elder Kearon visited my mission in Alaska and it was an incredible experience and teaching moment. Such a humble and caring man

That was a pleasant surprise in my new life upon the Path of Salvation👻I sometimes wished I had been younger to receive these blessings. I'm so grateful for our beloved Prophet President Nelson and the Apostles. They are not perfect but they truly are wonderful men of God who have been prepared to lead our church. Thank you Elder Kearon for your willingness to serve.

Wonderful! We love you already Elder Kearon, you will represent the Savior worldwide and reach people that only you can. The Spirit will magnify your abilities, I have been a witness of that. I am a mental health therapist and the current trends in media are geared to making us more anxious and primed for addiction ("tap the screen repeatedly for coins!") than at any other time in the history of the world. What I tell Christian clients is that Jesus is the Prince of PEACE.

I also joined the church in my early 20s in northern Michigan , a branch that met at a Jr College. Thanks go out to the branch and missionaries who taught me. Most of the branch members were converts and some were long time members. Especially Bill Hileman who was a supervisor who anounced he was being baptised on the company radio and peaked my interest to find out what church would babtise and old man in his 50s. His family was kind who bought me into the church.. i was not always the best member nut i always tried and miracle of atonement worked in my life. I am now a high priest and retired and serving in the Monticello Utah Temple, Rotary club and other good things. I am still single but at peace . Gratitude is a key to happiness.

When we were watching conference last October, after you spoke, my husband said, "He's going to be an Apostle.". You are where you are supposed to be.

He truly was called by a prophet. I trust that he will be a great apostle throughout his years and that others and myself can be led by his example.

I do not know him yet other then the announcement and what has been in recent articles, but I love him already, as I do the other 14. "The sense of brotherhood, as the brand-new member of the Quorum, was an extraordinary blessing, and it was in [strong] embraces, the very essence of welcome. Some with words, some without, but the intensity of love I felt for them was extraordinary and utterly overwhelming." - Elder Patrick Kearon This brotherhood, what he feels, a belonging, I have been trying to foster in our own Elders Quorum, that everyone feels welcomed and loved as soon as they are willing to be in our midst. That open vulnerability, trusting that your brothers will not cut you down, yes correct you, but afterward, show, no, do an increase of love. If we do feel any reservation sharing (specially brothers may have trouble doing this, including me) our feelings in our Quorums, we are not yet (in) Zion.

I have never met Elder Kearon myself, but my so knew him as the stake president in an area of his mission. Over the years I've heard stories from my son, abt Elder Kearon, told with much love and respect. I sustain Elder Kearon as our newest apostle. It's ironic that he was called because of the death of our dear Elder Ballard who was the apostle that went to speak to my son's mission. What a blessing they were to my son's mission, and what they were, and will be, to so many as an apostle in the Lord's Church. ❤️
