Doesn’t the kettle at the entrance to the ruins appear in miss chalice’s third special?

I'd say that The Elder Kettle is actually a war veteran, as a dish never dies unless it is shattered.

I also think the reason calix animi were fighting was because they were trying to harness the astral plain but they got into war with a un-know clan or heck maybe they went in war with devil. With the devil trying to control the astral plain to and maybe that's how calix animi falled. But hey, that's just a theory a GAME THEORY! Thanks for reading....

If you're doing a series on Cuphead lore I have a list of bosses that might have a connection with each other 1. Cagney carnation and the root pack (all living plants) 2. Dr khal/Werner werman/the howling aces (both khal and Werner are smart enough to make massive machines and the howling aces use the katzenwagon in their boss fight, my theory is that they are all wwI veterans, with khal and werner working for the Germans and the howling aces working for the Americans, or they could possibly have ties to the war talked about in this video) Baroness von bon bon (might know a thing or two about the wondertart) Moonshine mob and rumor honeybottoms (all sentient insects with a shady past) The sheer amount of royalty in inkwell isle, from bon bon, to rumor, King dice, the king of games. Why are there so many royals Capitan brineybeard and cala maria (the ghosts she spits out might be brineybeard's former crew, explaining why he doesn't have a proper crew in his boss fight, plus both can control sea life) Grimm matchstick might have a connection to the war as he is likely a grown up version on the dragons we see in rugged ridge

These are some actually good theories.

It's unlikely that these ancient people were fighting against the Calix Animi, it's actually more likely they were the Calix Animi because otherwise, why would there be satues of them right outside the fort? And the Calix Animi symbol is very cup/dish based and if you translate the name it translates to something like ancient cups or immortal cups, something like that, so yeah there ya have it.

What if Elder Kettle was an family member of an noble family. Yeah, i agree with your idea with the statue that you showed, they look they look the shame. I wonder if we see a new dlc of Cuphead but this time Elder Kettle is the game as an playable character and the devil is back with the power of the ink

Cuphead and Mugman are descendants of the calix animi along with Elder kettle. That's probably why they have such a good friendship with Ms. Chalice because she know cuphead and mugman are probably descendants of one of her clan members. This can also explain why there able to defeat the devil so easy because they come from a powerful clan of warriors.

Idk why I think it be funny if Elder Kettle was just a retired war veteran who just so happened to find the magical potion. Using it to help him in the war and just storing it for later. Like he had no relation to the Calix Animi at all and just found it by happenstance.
