White Cedar (Thuya): Very powerful. Grandmother energy. Always ask permission before picking, tell her what you need it for, and leave a thank you (tobacco, corn meal, strand of hair, prayer, song). Used as smudge at Sundance - strong strong protective energy, nurturing, gives hope when in despair. Best way to use - place dried or fresh on hot coals or burning charcoal. Can be put into bath to protect person and get rid of energetic entities and yucky energies attached to person. Fresh or dried, a handful crumbled up or cut up, left floating in the warm water. Use intention and prayer when you are putting it in the bath to connect to spirit of the plant, ask it for help. Stay in bath 20-30-40 mins. Good by itself, but especially effective before a shamanic/energetic healing treatment or ceremony to get rid of the energies (facilitative and cleansing). Stronger bath for cancer, arthritis etc can be made by simmering the cedar in your largest pot till tea is fairly dark, then adding this to the bath water, or using it as a foot bath (cooled till comfortably hot). You can drink cedar tea in small amouts (it's toxic in large doses), a cup or two a day, medium to light strength. Super duper high source of Vit C, great for fending off an oncoming cold, tasty, diuretic, cleansing, and probably has other properties - do research. Just do this as needed, not continuously because of toxicity. But don't stress, a small amount is good for you, feel into your body wisdom as to dosage.

I have a friend recovering from cancer and will mention this to her - she has a lot of cedar on her property too! It was very helpful to learn this information about Cedar - Miigwetch!
I trust the wisdom of the old ways & nature more then modern medicines .. creation has blessed us all with gifts.. thank you 🙏🏻
My great grandmother was a curandera from Mexico and knew herbs and energy healing. Unfortunately she died in 1955. I’m always eager to learn this knowledge. Thank you.
As a toddler, my first inhalation of cedar was in an old chest my parents had. It's a primal scent to me. Always calming. Rare to find commercially anymore. Anyone, suggestions? Finally, listening to this honorable woman is itself healing.

@@TristanWolfy this is North America. If your a Native to this land than you are a Native American. She didnt say that you were Native to the United States Of America. Go pick a other thing to be offended at instead of showing a lack of respect to the person who showed respect and interest to your culture. That kind of corrective behavior is pathetic in this instance. Call yourself what you like but the lady didnt show any disrespect by using the term Native American and its pathetic to act as if though she said something wrong.

Dianne Anderson I once heard that you can make a bag from a natural fabric like cotton, with a drawstring, then put the ingredients in it and toss it into the hot bath water to steep. Tho’ I don’t know amounts, I would try about four to six cups of cedar in a bath, myself.
The smell of Cedar is unlike pine sol, it has a smell what lavender is for relaxation. It is a powerful medicine. Mikwech!

if have close mystic relationship to walking with Father in Creation let Him in shared witness with you pull out negative pain using your intention or hands to heal. I had similar experience for self healing and nice to hear it exists as given by elders work with this guidance. ------ discernment between suggestions of interior thought or emotion those unseen spirits and known heaven to help you - is no harm to self or others, gentle Lean away from quick suggestions that act against regular personality you have. A person's eternity they can recognize , passion channel of their body in spirit is very patient even when in circumstances that can't be avoided in moment or day...drop in presence.

White Willow Bark Tea or extract will also help Mrs. Bertha. Cancer needs to detox wild lettuce replaces morphine without the toxic opoids.Cedar is a Powerful antiseptic especially the berries
I do not like taking pharma if I don't have to take and any holistic medicines work for me. Thanks so much
Resistance causes heat and or pain, instead visualize cool energy pushing past and flowing easily throughout the body.
Beautiful
I wish there was more description. When you placed your hands in cedar was it boiled cedar water or holding the actual plant? When you bathed your friend was it a tub full of 'previously boiled' cedar water or was the boiled cedar water added to a tub of hot plain water?
