Cool tip: If you put markers on top of the graces before Journey 2, the markers dont go away so you will know where all the graces are :)

@VoxPixels Open the map and at the bottom it'll show a button for "Marker" so you can place 100 custom markers. I just beat the game and hour ago and it was awesome for marking places I completed, bosses I didn't/couldn't beat yet, and where people I met where.

Also fun fact if you want, for achievement purposes, you can rest at the grace before clicking on Marika after the final boss and make a copy of your save. Complete the first ending, reload your save and complete Raani's ending, reload your save and take a quick trip down to the catacombs of Leyndell and complete the chaos ending.

With how much this games auto saves, I have no idea how that would actually work. My game (Xbox) only has one save file and every time there is a cut scene or loading screen or even if it’s just been a bit, it autosaves

only thing that shocks me about starting journey 2 is the map. it is one of those things that I was sure you were going to loose, but nice to see that you don't. The great runes I can understand, but that will suck a little bit, as I won't have any use for the rune arcs for a time. Luckily, it isn't that far to the first great rune though.

Great runes was necessary since they're the keys you use to get into Leyndell but yea you can legit get the first (and best) one in like 20 mins if you run straight for Godrick.

I finished the game in 120h, I've never used a Rune Arc, I don't know what most of the Great Runes do, I might change that this time around, I just didn't use them because I forgor lmao

This is the only video that I was able to find that gave a legit description of what happens post game/NG+. Thank you so much! Now I don't have that much of a worry about my items being lost.

For a first timer you perfectly (AND QUICKLY!!!) got basically everything right. Gotta say this was refreshing to watch and i dont even know why i really clicked on this video since i played through every souls game already but having important information condensed i think a lot of new players can decide if they wanna start over already.

Make sure you stock up a lot because you might find new weapons on your play through. That’s what happened to me and then I had to rush and find the bell bearings again

@@solar_dark3718 There's so many weapons in this game. Its just difficult to upgrade them all.

Some advice to those who do struggle with the game a bit; go get as many of the ancient smithing stones, and ancient somber smithing stones as you can manage BEFORE you start the next playthrough. These items are limited in number, and only a few of each appear per new game cycle. So if you want to upgrade a bunch of weapons, make sure to hunt them down. The wiki and other online guides list their locations. Beyond that, also remember to try to pick up all the talismans and spells you want before the next New Game. IT saves you the potential struggle of trying to struggle-bus for them in a harder world!

It lets you upgrade your weapons to the max level, so stocking up on them is good if you intend on playing and experimenting with other weapons later on

@@libra8996 The Ancient Dragon's Smithing stone is the only item that you can use to upgrade most standard weapons to their final stage, while the Ancient Dragon's Somber Smithing Stone is the item used to advance special arms to their final step. Without them, you can never max out your favorite weapons-- make sure you grab as many of them as you can access per playthrough, as you can only grab a certain number per new game cycle; with only a few of each existing in pre set locations.

Yeah, I have all the bell bearings for regular and somber smithing stones. Also have all the bell bearings for ghost gloveworts, but not grave gloveworts. I've been using all my runes on buying more

Oh, I didn't realize by killing rhadan so early, I'd inadvertently gotten farther than expected. Goofing off near the cliff faces and looking down to that huge desert had some rewards, a shortcut to the boss from basically spawn

Im excited for these later playthroughs, the talismans should have a "+1, 2 or 3" affinity to them and should be found in different locations! From software always loves to keep us on our toes!. Also in DS3 the enemies stopped getting harder at ng 7! I wonder what this game's limits are.

the +1/2/3 talismans are available without doing NG+.

On DS3 I'm on my 7th walk through. I plan to go to walk through 10 on Elden ring & see what lvl you get to before all creatures in the game become God's. This was super fun in DS3 because if someone came for a pvp battle you could use the fingers to have creatures in your world attack the invader. My creatures were hard for me but seeing a baby crab 1 shot a player was amazing. In elden ring the creatures will attack invaders normally so I plan to see what the limit is.

Actually not true, invaders take damage from enemies if they get in the crossfire but they don't got targetted by them and can't fight them.

@@LeonardoIV wdym pictures? If you have done any invading yourself or seen a single video of invasions in elden ring you would know the enemys wont attack invaders, they can get hit by aoe attacks if they are in the way but wont be targeted.

This game was so fun. Thanks for the overview. I’m going to make sure to collect and get everything I need before I run journey 2.

A point of concern for me was the first time I heard that Keys and KEY ITEMS would be wiped - for those concerned - you CAN put your Stonesword keys in your chest at a Sign of Grace and they (For now anyway at the time of this comment) will carry over. Larval Tears, consumables, Physick items - almost everything except Keys (Imbued, quest-related etc) will carry over. Also, for anyone who completed things like the Blood Palace with Mohg or Flame of Frenzy ending, the cosmetics you get for getting involved in those questlines (Blood eyes for Mohg and Burn marks / Frenzy Eyes from FoF) will also NOT CARRY OVER. You'll have to advance to the point in a quest to see them. Slightly bummed I couldn't keep my Frenzy eyes, but oh well.

@@ryanhays429 They're considered a quest item, and they're reset and found in the same chests you previously acquired them from. You will NOT have them in your inventory when starting a NG+

You do keep some bell bearings just not the ones from any of the npcs or merchants. The bell bearings from Bell Bearing Hunter as well as smithing and somber smithing stones bell bearings you keep. Well more accurately the Twin Husks keep.

I just finished my first play through about 20 minutes ago lol. This short video help out more then those longer ones. I almost started without knowing the graces will be gone. Yeah I’m going go ahead get a few more thing now, mark a few spots and roll out with number 2.

Although it sounds silly, I’m gonna use the cloud method to get all 3 ending trophies on PS5 in one playthrough, then I’ll mess around in the NG+ and do some stuff I missed early on in the first journey, so much to do in this masterpiece of a game, thanks for the informative video

Same, nothing wrong with it. I think most people use this method.

The only thing that bothers me is the great runes resetting. It makes sense from a lore perspective, but they perform more like blood gems in Bloodborne or covenants in the series. Would have liked to see those stay.

After 170 hours in my first play through trying to explore as much as possible, I can confirm that I explored everything I could, fought all the major bosses and majority of mini ones. Second playthrough would feel like a chore at this point. This was one of the best games I ever played, and I will dearly appreciate this experience

So don't ng+ play another brand new playthrough a completely different way. So if you ran the game int, go dex STR or faith. Arcane is also an option.

You can get the reduivia dagger almost immediately and play a stealthy bleed build. Anyone can drop you a second copy of the dagger and you can dual wield them.

LOL! At 170 hours I can assure you that you missed A TON!

I suggest before going to NG plus mark every grace with a flag marker and mark every walking mausoleum with the fortress marker that way it's easier to find all the grace and mausoleum

the amount of rune's you get from each playthrough increases a little bit after the second journey so don't expect the rune's you get to double again it's more like a 20% increase or so. would have been nice if it did double each time you start a new game but what ever.

I feel you bro, I gotta say tho.. This was my first souls game and at the start I was pure trash. I played cod my whole life so I was use to running in and slaughtering without getting hit. The first spawn area with all of the soldiers (gatefront) humbled me quick LOL. Now, I have experience and am having more fun than the first time.

I beat the game a few days ago and right now I'm basically doing cleanup of the world and grabbing stuff I've missed before NG+. I got all the rememberances except 1 cuz i messed up Fia's quest, but it's absolutely crazy how massive this game is as I'm still finding small nooks with valuable stuff.

Thanks! I'm finishing up bosses I missed on the map before going to the last area. I missed out on some questlines so I'd like to get to those.
