I didn't read ahead to see if someone covered this, but if getting the Bloodhound's Fang is too difficult solo, then there is a quest from Blaid, or whatever, the wolfman. He is looking for the guy with the sword. He's found at Mistwood ruins I believe it's called. 1st go there and listen for the howls. He's up on top of the tower there. 2nd go back to Kale ( Santa Claus) at that first church and talk to him. He gives you the "snap fingers" gesture. 3rd go snap at the base of the tower, then talk to Blaid. Finally, go to the boss fight and there will be a gold summons on the ground. Blaid appears and proceeds to clean dude's clock.

It’s a easy boss fight I don’t think anyone will have much trouble to solo it, don’t even need a upgraded weapon

@@josephatkinson6280 yep, never had interest in Dark Souls, but my mate told me to get Elden Ring because I like Skyrim and it had similar combat mechanics to that of Jedi: Fallen Order, which I loved. Still, Bloodfang isnt too difficult, the trick is the right gear and knowing his pattern. I used the towershield and a regular sword at "medium" weight. Simply parry/block then hit 2-3 times then roll back and repeat. Took me about 5 attempts.

Oh yeah, I’m still maining that sword on my dex/int build, thing is a beast, I love its weapon art too. I managed to beat Derriwil solo with dual scimitars but I’d already fought him a bunch during the network test.

could you cover Eleonora's violent bloody finger. She drops a weapon called the Pole Blade very similar to the Dual Blades, but more powerful IMO.

For anyone collecting stuff, every enemy you see in the world with weapons/shields/armor will drop every piece of it. Example> ruins with guards before the gate you get Torrent, you can get a total of 2 armor sets, 3 shields, 2 spears, 1 longsword, 1 war pick. The random lone riders with swords that rage on you also drop full set of armor and the weapon they are using (Dismounter). Its gonna take you forever, but if you like collecting and/or like me and you suck and spend alot of time grinding well.. Enjoy:) Edit: Not had any success with huge monsters like trolls other than the ones that are using weapons that stand out.

West of Summonwater village there is a grave where you can get the grave scythe but there is also a skeleton with a shield and a big sword but I haven’t been able to get the sword, I don’t know if you can

You don't have to go into the room to get the staff, you can walk around the edge and grab it from the window.

true but there is the golden runes in front of it, so if you have extra fp or a good sword you can probably just clear them no problem and get the runes too

I even found Malefactors Evergoal while trying to find a spot referenced in your video. I fought and beat the boss anyway and got the Flame of Fell God just by accident lol.

Best advice is use your map like a guide visit every site in a zone anything that looks like a shape or anything that isn’t terrain. It’s what I been doing and I have found so much and so many things

Great content video as always. But adding time stamps for the various items and names would really help when rewatching the videos.

Thanks a ton, I've been watching a few other start up guides I wouldn't be surprise if they try to block a few things off by adding more enemies. One thing I notice with all these guides is you can literally be god tier by doing these guides and not fight a signal thing. With rune mining, guides and this I don't think elder ring is the hardest out of the series anymore.

The golden halberd is literally so cracked. I just maxed it out and it slaps so hard.

For the people new to these types of games. The best advise I can give is that EVERY weapon is legendary if you make it such. Don’t let other open world cliches Trick you

If you have the right attributes and the FP enough to do the full L2/R2 with bloodhound fang you will go invisible on the 2nd strike causing you to have insane IFs this thing decimates almost everything I fight with this attack

this man is the man! as a casual and abusy life this really helps

For any slower builds who struggle to get a hit in on bloodhound: learn his move set and roll backwards, blocking is a death wish. Also, the best time to get a hit in on him is after his long drag and overhead slam attack. I used to starting halberd and was able to poke him twice after that move set.

I literally removed all my armor and killed him first trie after struggling and getting killed 10 times with armor on

In the same area as the staff is a quest . The wolf mask is also a great set

For the bloodhound there is a much easier way, when you hear the wolf howl at misstwood ruins, go back to santaclaus back at the first church ruins you came across, that's the first traveling merchant you met, talk to him and he'll teach you the finger snap emote, go back to the wolf howl and use the emote to summon Guts, he wants you to track down this guy, now come find him and watch as gut invades him and smack him ded

He also sells you a unique talisman that lowers the fp cost of ashes of war, you gotta drop Blaidd’s name before he’ll sell it to you though.

Those ruins you passed over while going to the lucaria gate have a portal that takes you right to the gate. The ones near the Laskyar ruins grace site

In my option the “Crystal Sword” is the best straight sword. It’s weapon art is incredibly useful in any situation as long you can dodge attacks.

I’ve was running a dual blade Enchanted Knight build using the Crystal Sword and the Carian Knight Sword. They both do physical and magic damage. They scale with with STR and INT. You can put out some crazy damage with the L1/LB chain attacks. Carried me through several tough areas and fights. I’ve now switched to a full magic build using a shield and staff using Carian Sword spells that do big damage and fast. I’m absolutely loving Elden Ring and how it allows you to play however you want.

@@zer0sckillz539 yea the game is teaching me how to manage with magic. I never used it or faith before in DS3, only tried strength and quality. The options of magic and faith here are a beautiful change of pace for me and a different play style. I would like to try faith next and at some point do something with dragon magic.

Huh? It doesn't have a unique skill, I'm confused lol. Do you mean Spin Slash? Cause that's just the default Curved Sword weapon art, and can be put on... I think literally anything, except maybe Colossal Weapons? It's stats are also not incredibly great, since split damage scaling is only good for an off hand weapon, as having base attack and then applying a buff is literally ALWAYS better, unless you're using a weapon for it's unique weapon art... and even though the Crystal Sword doesn't have a unique weapon art, it can't be changed, either. That said, it is a VERY pretty sword, and I would still use it if I wanted to use straight swords (meh), probably have it in my off hand and dual wield it with the base straight sword or something.

I have to admit your Elden ring videos have made a noob love Elden ring really helpful thank you also do you have any similar videos for dark souls 3 or bloodborne?

Those somber smithing stones really came in handy

Btw, you can also use your horse and jump over a ledge to avoid the dragon. It is directly behind it where the wall is a little lower 👍

Carrier knight armor is my favourite, it looks so fancy. Such a fashion game.

Bloodhounds fang has literally carried me all the way to Mt Gelmir, with the only thing making me want to switch it out being sheer boredom of using the same weapon all game. Not that I’ve experimented too much (bc why fix what isn’t broken), but that is probably the best weapon to grab early on

@@de_xx you can get that early if you're relatively efficient, not too hard because that's what I did. Just use Zweihander, grafted great sword or greataword untill you can run ghelberd because that shit is insanely OP.

So I’m playing a spell blade build and have the meteorite staff. But the wep I’ve been using is just as good as this sword. I will say the sword will probably be a better stat stick but considering how much you have to invest to use it I understand. But I’ve been running around with a +5 moonveil which is a magic katana that still has bleed properties which is like one of the best effects in ER. I won’t lie, the sword has me intrigued and I’m def going to grab it now. But the special unsheathe wep arts for it may be a bit better imo. The heavy variant pretty much always posture breaks people and the light attack version is not only fast but can be used at range. Investing 24 points into faith is going to take me forever but considering I was going towards a int/dex build I may be able to still invest in the sword. Faith and Magic seem super strong so far

Although the meteorite staff is good I can't be upgraded so it's better to get the demihuman queens staff

@1:07 is how you can farm ruins easily.if the glitch still works hah .let the Boulder roll off the side and you get 1900 ruins add whatever ruin buffs for even more, then fast travel back to the grace at the top of the hill and repeat .

It isn’t really a glitch though that boulder is an enemy which is why you get runes for it falling off a cliff and you get so many because your in a high level area which you wouldn’t normally be in at the start of the game

If your having trouble with Blaidd, I’m a vagabond who killed him with the dismounted at level 25. Once you learn his patterns and use your flask he’s really wash

Another decent armor set is from the bandit on the beach to the left of the 1st area with the tree sentinel. Go all the way down the cliffs towards the water and he'll be sitting by a fire. Sneak up and kill him for some pretty solid armor 👌

So you know about the full armor set? After getting right side medallion you travel to round table and fight a red enemy there and then recover full armor set? Necromancer style

I can get another katana that scales with dex and int!? Sweet, totally gonna powerstance that with the moon katana! Also yeah Bloodhound’s Fang has been my main weapon for the majority of the game and it’s amazing! That weapon art does such great damage, and the followup gives you insane I-frames. Definitely gonna use the sword of Night and Flame on my next character! Pure mage baby!

Love the video! Small heads up, "evergaol" isn't pronounced ever-goal, 'gaol' is a word from Gaelic that is pronounced basically the same as the English equivalent 'jail' and handily means the same as well. Looks nicer though in lore!

You know you can get alot of great weapons and armors from drops if you have high enough arcane

The meteorite staff cannot be upgraded so I suggest you get the demihuman queens staff instead

You can sneak round the dragon although it will wake up, it won’t be aggro to you

You should do a tutorial on how to get to the queen
