@@bennelson8667 Yeah, but not by gameplay design, in that aspect Midra and Messmer are better: an hard and fair boss is a good design, an hard and only fair in phase 1, but that also requires the player to go trial and error learning every timing (like Malenia for example) isn't that good of a design. I'm not saying it's not a good fight, it's up there as one of the best fights in the game, but not by design And honestly the lightning effects aren't a problem at all in my opinion

You know what i kinda realize, they basically gave Radahn the isshin treatment. A badass legend even when past his prime who is revived in his prime to saved the land on the wish of a crazed relative

Radhan is so badass he can just walk menacingly and you'll be afraid of attacking him.

bro is so hard to beat , he even gave some people PTSD 😹

He earned my respect at the fact he even killed radhan.

At the second phase, I saw my character died a thousand times ! WTF IS THIS FIGHT ?! DO I EVEN WANT TO DO THE DLC WHEN I SEE THIS ?!

So the DLC final boss is a fusion 🤭

I didn't find myself having too much trouble with the dlc till I got to the second phase of this prick. Spectacular fight till Miquella comes along and puts on a lightshow

not a hot take, his hitbox was bugged af. Gaius hitbox is bugged in the DLC like that too, that charge is borderline undodgeable at close distance. Only boss where it wasn't a skill issue, and the only boss where "git gud" meant nothing to me lol

use armor, buffs, talismans, and items to increase your damage negation as much as you can. I use the dragoncrest greatshield talisman, marika's braid, plus golden vow, the all damage negation bubbletear for the flask and the crab meat before the fight. I'm on +15 fragments and my damage negation can get to 75 to 80 with everything applied, and i can take quite a number of hits

@@camarobro1897 yeah I’m starting to totally agree with this. Second phase is just stunlock, screen pollution, and chip damage. Not to mention frame drops. Pretty cool fight but they really are running out of ways to challenge the players it seems.

I’m on ng+4, dude killed me in less then 3 seconds my first try at him…

Fighting this dude in ng+ using an honest build was a nightmare, even with full scadutrees. It's like fighting a squad of overleveled gankers who throw every aoe spells and ash of wars at you lol. Even gael doesn't have this kind of asspull

I enjoyed the fight overall, but would have liked a little more openings to punish aside from literally one combo. Also Radahn coming back was kinda lame tbh, would have been cool to fight Miquella himself

If they wanted to revive a male demi god as consort of miquella, IT SHOULD'VE BEEN GODWYN, the oportunity was right there, I hope ER2 revolves around him just like this one revolves around marika

Uhhhh no, it’s in the lore: on the night of black knives Godwyn was killed in soul but his body remained, and Ranni killed her Empyrean flesh, but her soul remained. So no, Godwyn could not be miquella’s consort as his soul cannot be reincarnated.

The ending sucked bad, so as the last fight, felt weird.

@@MrAleHalen sucked for you, and while your opinion is valid, the game can’t cater specifically to you. I loved the ending and tons of other people do, plus it’s lore accurate, which I particularly absolutely love. “Finding a way” to break the lore you’ve established so @MrAleHalen can get what they want is a sure way to destroy your reputation as good storytellers

The second phase doesn't look anything like a From Software boss. When I played Dark Souls for the first time, what grabbed me most was the fair gameplay, difficult yes, but you could win with a lot of effort. Now it's just visual pollution, magic spam and endless combos. You land a blow with pathetic damage, you have to dodge 8 or 9 attacks in a row. I won, I beat the DLC alone. But it wasn't anything fun like Dark Souls, Sekiro or Bloodborne.

It's not concrete rules, it could've been Godwyn if they'd written it that way. "Now the vow will be honored, and my Lord Brother's soul will return" it was supposed to be Godwyn bro.

@fishroyal5114 okay but, like I said in my comment, we also very much kill Radahn. There is no preconceived lore that states that if Radahn was somehow able to cross into the Land of Shadow through some ritual that Miquella performed, that he wouldn't have been able to do the same with Godwyn. Not to mention, there's a lot of evidence that could argue that Marika herself was in on the Night of Black Knives, and was intentionally trying to kickstart the Shattering War. You're approaching all of this like it is stated fact, when actually a lot of this is left very vague intentionally.

And I though the Kingdom Hearts 2 Roxas fight had a lot of light pillar attacks

Most Disappointed I've ever been. The rest of the DLC is amazing. This boss is lame. Not because its hard, but because I was hoping for something unique, not Radahn 2.0

Everyone in the community wondered how the 'real Radahn' would be as we defeated that old rot infested semi living corpse who fought against Malenia. FS gave us just that. This is epic, and it makes absolute sense. This is not just a reskin for the sake of it, this is true story unfolding. This does more for the game and its Lore than just a new made up boss would.
