So THIS is the guy that I invaded that one time. I was extremely confused at first, stood in the circle, saw him about to squish me and instinctually rolled behind and backstabbed him. After a couple seconds of him doing nothing, I finally clocked his name... "Vigor Exam". I then embraced my 45 vigor fate and stood in the circle again. I didn't pass.

This is like the opposite of what I started doing, which was making a character named Fashion Police, and I invade people and inspect their fashion and either leave presents or point down and sever. No weapons, if people kill me they automatically fail (and obviously get no presents). Seeing how people react to these non-standard encounters is incredibly interesting.

To be fair I think some of the other builds had high Vigor as well. But the Banished Knight Armor set has much better defense stats that what the others were wearing.

I got absolutely slammed by an invader with a giant hunt, upon him seeing me survive, he jumped off the nearest cliff, mans was simply inspecting my Vigor. Fair play

@@SilverTwinkle No. that heal only procs when low hp. if I hit 0, as in, if he does my total health in damage, which is 2134, I would die. He did less than 1900.

@@SilverTwinkle Lol. No. it doesn't. It isn't denial. If I get you to 800 hp and hit you with Godslayer's WA you instantly die. If I do it with giant hunt, you instantly die. Lion's claw. Instant death. etc. You cannot survive any hit that would bring you to 0. If your hp is above 1 after their dmg however, you get the heal.

I love how anyone who doesn't step into the circle is ignored even if they attack you. Except for that Nihil guy. Either he accidentally triggered the skill or misunderstood the vigor check was for you instead.

Many men have taken the test, many failed. And as time passes, more will fall flat under the crushing weight of the Vigor Exam.

@@laary7589 Nah. That only saves you if the dmg you take is less than your total hp. If I have 2000 hp and take 2000 dmg the heal doesnt go off. I just die. It does heal me though, because he did more than 80% of my hp

I do love seeing the unfun rivers of blood guy come in and you just slapping him upside the head like "no... stop that... shame on you."

You did 2134 damage to one guy which means he had 60 vigor, erdtrees favor +2 and crimson amber +2 and he still died, so I guess the real moral of the story is wear better armor

I find it amazing how many people stood in the circle and took the test.

Armor, faith incantations, ritual shield, phys damage reduction, HP talismans and shrimp were also vigor all along!

IT WAS YOU! Chase had a stream and it was you this entire time!?! Bruh that was the highlight of the stream for me when I first saw it, happy to see that someone managed to survived it!

@@zaqataq5146 At meta pvp level, 125, 60 vigor is a must and every good players have this much vigor (maybe 50 vigor on some casters builds). It might sound "ridiculous" but it's the best softcap to reach or you will get one shot by most ash of war.

@@zaqataq5146 I mean, it's ironically becoming a lot more common for people to realize you really don't need to shovel all 125 points into sheer offense stats or things like Mind. Between all the stat boosting items and how busted Ashes of War can get, you can get actually pretty damn far without hitting major softcaps for offense stats.

People talked about 150 as the level to PvP as it’s pretty hard not to be above 125 when you finish the game comfortably unless you specifically have built your character around PvP. 125 was the old meta level for Dark Souls when you only got to like level 85 playing through the game normally.

40something vigor + bullgoat, +runic shield + Dragon Creast shield, maybe somethings that give you more hp. Then you will survive because of the sheer amount of damage reduction and hp you have. So this is less of a vigor test and more like a vigor and dmg reduction check

Misércorde + Parry shield. +0 for 13 Vigor, increase by +1 for every 3 Vigor you want to test. Royal Knight's Resolve if you want works as well.

Huh, my build could survive the vigor check, I have 70 vigor and I normally run the Bull-goat set with a dragon greatshield talisman, ritual shield talisman, +2 erdtrees favor, and a +2 crimson amber medallion, with radahns rune. Top off with a boiled crab, rallying standard, and black flames protection, and yeah, that can tank

Only if you have 0 defense. It's actually not too bad to survive.

Would be really cool if you calculated the damage to be exactly about 2k, so anybody with 60 vigor and a health ring would survive without buffs
