@@Slykillful there is a sage cave in Mt.Gelmir and behind some illusionary walls there are some skeleton enemies, most of which use the weapon. Pop a gold pickled fowl foot and you should have them in no time 👍🏻

@TheKingofRedLightning for sure man. There's a guide video for you, various guard counters. As someone who watches damn near every ER build video on youtube, I can tell you there aren't many unless Fextralife does it as part of theirs.

I'm on my second play through after a year away from the game. I love the Samurai and the Dex build but I want to make sure I get the most out of it. I'm not doing NG+ yet as I made so many mistakes on the first play through I want to have a cleaner character build. This video helped a lot (plus its recent not filled with 2 year old info before all the patches and nerfs). thanks

I saw you did not really cover stats too much and were using GV with lower faith. You prefer going up to 25 or using maybe the AoW on a light off hand? Great video!

Thanks! And base faith is 15, 25 with the faith tear. The incantation is stronger & double the length of the ash. So I prefer the incantation for sure. Stats & soft caps are in the video too 👍

Im coming back to Elden Ring to prep for the dlc. Is double uchigatana +25 with seppuku still viable? How does it compare to the current meta? I haven't played the game since beating it at launch 2 years ago. Thanks.

Seppuku is still broken on anything. It’s best on curved swords & twinblades though.

How have I never seen that done before @ 1:20 ? What is that, a Nagakiba w/ Bloodflame Blade and … can only think of a sorcery that spins like that, not an Ash. Holy hell I’m trying that out.

Yep you can! It’s spinning weapon ash of war. You get it from Rogier in Stormveil castle.

Would it be a waste of stats to go 60/60 Dex/Faith with the Lightning Affinity build? I'm currently running a Dex/Faith build using a Nagakiba with Vykes Dragonbolt/Electrify Weapon (and sometimes Bolt of Gransax), but I really like the moveset of curved swords and this build looks fun, but I'm not sure if I should respec some Faith levels into Dex or just try these weapons with 60/60 Dex/Faith?

About the 20% flame damage. Can the spear be used with bloodflame blade? To make use of the flame damage for radagon

Bloodflame blade has a small amount of fire damage. So it wouldn’t increase it much. It also works best on weapons with innate bleed (Nagakiba, Grave Scythe, etc) since it only gets 40 flat bleed. Radagon is also immune to bleed lol so a pure fire build would be better. Blasphemous blade’s ash can take him down very fast.

Damn, that lighting curved swords build is better than scavenger seppuku build

Depends how high of a level you are. Get Dexterity to 80. If you get faith to 33 you can use howl of Shabriri which is 5% more than FGMS (and lasts longer too). 60 vigor, probably 25 mind & getting to 25-30 endurance would be good. If eventually you get to level 250+ you can put a lot of weapons in quality, and invest in both strength in Dex for more AR. 🤘

I beat Radagon, Elden Beast, and Malenia for the first time yesterday by applying Black Blade then just spamming Taker's Flames with my Mimic Tear out. Brute-forced it.

The one thing that annoys me about dexterity is the fact that you get no advantage from two handing. That means that a lot of dex weapons are still better with a heavy infusion if you plan on two handing them.

It depends on how the weapon scales. After 80 strength you don’t get many more points. So if you can get to 70-80 Dex you’re good. Between 80-99 is negligible returns.

@@TheKingofRedLightning This answer sounded familiar, so I checked and it turns out I made a comment like this before on one of your videos 😄. You're right that it depends on how your weapon scales. The ones that scale extremely well with dex are indeed better off with keen scaling, even when two-handing. Prime example being the guardian swordspear. But my point was that a lot of weapons that have better scaling on keen vs heavy, still do better with heavy infusion because of the two-handing buff to strength. The soft cap for str is 80, but you can reach it with str 54. Like twinblades and katana's for example.

Can someone explain me how he got 60 vigor, 70 dex and the other stats? I mean he only is lvl 150… Sry, I’m new to the game

Faith tear for buffs, so it adds up to 160 with the tear. Base level is 10 in each stat.

These kinds of videos are only marginally helpful. You show us a NG+ build. I’m on my first play through. My character isn’t god level yet. I have 2 talisman slots and less than half of the spells. This is less of a “how to build” video and more of a “ how to tweak your god level character” video

Your first order of business should be getting your talisman slots and spell slots. From there you figure out what weapon type you want to run. Go get the weapon you want. Follow a guide. Then see what talismans compliment that weapon. Go get those. If your on your first playthrough you should be doing that. You won't get to experiment with a lot until you've beat the game. Enjoy that first go through it. There's nothing like it. NG+ is where you try all the new builds with all the weapons and stuff you've collected. After you beat Raya Luc you can respec.

If you're looking for a guide to actually start the game there are many. The whole idea of a game like this though is to learn the mechanics and timing of the game. There's a huge gap between players just starting out with gifted stuff and players who actually played the game.
