Some colossal weapons are actually unplayable in PVP since almost everyone is a mage or a blood virgin , trading into those cause painful death

It's a great weapon with a cool Ash of War, however it is currently bugged. If you try to buff it with Golden Vow or the Commander's Standard buff the special move will do zero damage. You can see enemies taking hitstun from Spearcall Ritual but they take no damage.

It isn't great but it's pretty effective for zoning people or drawing them in, plus you can catch them if they try to cast an incantation for massive damage. Recovery after the L2 isn't bad either.

One of the best things abous reapers, they do that huuge overswing on jumping attacks, so you almost can hit people behind your back. Also they turn in the air pretty well, if aimed manually.

Ah yes, Elden Ring. The FIRST From game to give scythes an ACCURATE RIPOSTE AND BACKSTAB animation XD

Tip: if you press r2 after jumping with last-minute timing, it comes out considerably faster and true combos into r1. Additionally, if you do a running jump you can mix your opponent up between this last minute jumping r2 and the running r2, which share a startup animation but hit on very different timings.

i tried farming for it for about 3-4 hours and it wouldnt drop. Then i came back later and he dropped 3 in 5 kills.

giant conquering hero’s grave is good for farming that sword

Carian Knight Sword and Lazuli Glintstone Sword have the cool blocking R2 charge attack plus lazuli comes with the glintstone pebble ash of war. Although it seems to be easy to get guard broken during the R2 charge so it may be more important to have higher stamina if you want to trade with it.

Yeah it's a shame it's guard boost and block res is so awful. I wonder if holding an offhand shield uses your shields block stats

I realize daggers are in a bit of a rough spot right now but i'd like to see a build with Erdsteel Dagger, I just find it very cool that it can double dip into the faith scaling boosting both physical and holy/flame art damage.

Axe of Godrick enjoyer here, I was quite happy to see the person using that. Quite a fun weapon to use in my opinion, especially the L2, even if it's not as good as some other options

4:32, the weapon this guy was using is called the Monk's Flameblade, it can be farmed inside a hero's grave in the mountaintops area and is probably my favorite curved greatsword in the game. It probably has some of the best faith scaling in the game when infused with sacred/flame art, and in my pyromancy build it can easily reach 750-800 passive AR without any buffs or talismans as long as you have it flame art infused. Great versatility with AOW selection too. If you ever want to try out a fire build, this along with the Banished Knight Halberd are probably your best choices.

6:57 damn that was smooth

Spinning strikes is amazing in pve. You can do an obscene amount of damage to staggered enemies. And NPC invaders just get stunlocked to death.

I absolutely LOVE the grave scythe, I just enjoy cosplaying as the Grim Reaper. Reminds me of that brilliant show the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and gives that nostalgic feeling.

This weapon is soooo good at roll catching and its crouch r1 comes out faster than Carian slicer an double spear pokes with enough poise, you usually win every trade bc not a lot of people have enough poise to tank a hit from it

Id love to see you use the eclipse shotel, when paired they always seem to surprise with damage

I know that I'm running a fist build right now and it's nuts. Granted it has no range but if you let me hit you it's pretty much over. Cold star fist, 1 with rkr and 1 with any of the roar aow that changes your heavy attack. I use axe talisman, claw talisman, bullgoat talisman, and a flex slot

I just realised that Alia of Rold has made an appearance in one of Chase's other videos: Siluria's Tree, nice to see her back

Sword of Milos has a pretty fun moveset after using the skill so maybe that next, or if you'd like a different weapon type, Eleonora's Poleblade seems like a fun option.

Carian Knights Sword is pretty cool. The unique heavy would be interesting to see how useful it could be in pvp.

I really wanna see what you can do with the magma blades. You’re just so skilled would love to see those in your hands. Love the content always.

started watching chase vids as i was finally getting comfortable with the mechanics/pve of ds3, but never did any pvp. just started doing duels in elden ring the other day, with this scythe incidentally, and obviously i've always known he was good, it's pretty obvious. but after engaging with pvp myself now i'm realizing chase is straight up terrifying

You can actually say he's making a living by beating people's backsides in Souls-games. Never mess up with a champ :D I've learned so much by watching his vids. A very fun mechanic is to hold down the sprint button. If you do so, you can start to sprint immediatly without a slow run at the start.

Hold down the run button B or circle. Then run. You won't accelerate but sprint immediately.

If you want to do another scythe I’d recommend the clean rot knight version.

I'd be interested to see the Ornamental Straight Sword, not really a dex user myself and I've never seen anyone using it before.

4:45 that person was Cosplaying as Glaedr, a golden elder dragon from the Eragon books. Hence the dragon armor and goldmask. Looks like he was using a monks flameblade with chilling mist on it

grave scythe is so much fun to use even if it’s not top tier. raptor of the mists and quickstep are great for it but i usually stick with flaming strike or sword dance. great video!

Curved swords! Maybe lightning curved swords with the Millicents prosthetics and the multi-hit tear + lightning tear in your flask. Also fun to use with “big weapon” aow’s like lions claw which people don’t expect.

with the sword dance ash this is my favorite PVE weapon, i pretty much used it for all of my first game, all but the last BOSS.

i've been using black flame tornado and flame art attribute with this scythe! its pretty nice

I'd love to see a showcase on the Family Heads or Bastard Stars flails, they can do some crazy damage. Or the Night Rider Flail if you want to mix up the ashes

the red lightning buff is Vyke's Dragonbolt, from the boss of the lord contender's evergaol. it's basically both dragonbolt blessing and electrify armnement in a single spell

Doesn't the body buff do something else from dragonbolt blessing entirely? I know the damage on the weapon is ok too, but it doesn't work better than electrify armament. It do be red tho...

@@kanebollard2324 yeah, dragonbolt blessing gives a hardening buff, stuff like shortswords and katanas and the like will bounce. Vyke's instead gives increased load limit for..some reason

I use this weapon as a quick swap option with the sword dance ash of war. The long reach makes it very effective at catching people off-guard

Glaedr is the name of a dragon in the Eragon series. I was pleased the first thing he did was a dragonbreath.

I'd like to see vyke's spear, it has an interesting AoW and you cant go wrong with the spear move set!!

That sword was the Monk's Flameblade, which coincidentally would make for a great showcase weapon!

You should try the chainlink flail, flails are bad but the chainlink flail is the best imo. It works well in a str build or a occult build.

Hey chase, you mentioned the hollowslayer in the video and how you miss it. Did you know that the inseperable greatsword, aswell as the banished and regular knight greatswords have the fancy hollowslayer R1s? I tried the knight GS and the banished knight GS, and the banished knight version seems to deal slightly more damage, but has slightly less range than the regular knight's GS

love to see you try some of the whips -- I never could quite get the hang of using them and would love to see how you make them work in PvP

Urumi is an excellent weapon. Awesome roll catch, the charged R2 is fantastic, and powerstanced attacks are nutty.

Carian Knight Sword with the blocking Talisman, as the charged R2 has a block before it strikes

Nice!!! This one was great! I’d like to see the dragon scale katana. I can’t remember if that the actual name. It’s the katana with the lightning buff from the lake of rot.

Not sure if you're aware, but the Sword Dance ash of war does have a third strike with a follow-up input. Might be useful in some scenarios. Great vid as always!

it can also be delayed for quite a while after the first input, your opponent can dodge the first part, roll back in and you still have time to hit them with it

Yeah, this ash of war is essentially the follower saber weapon art from ds3. Although the additional hit isnt a true combo so i dont use it often. Although it can definitely be useful in certain situations!

hi chase, why not use fire infusion on a strength build ? it doesn't give as much scaling but offers split damage and it does scale with strength, upping your output (and you can further boost with charm rings and flask). since you don't buff your heavy infusion, why not go for fire?

a little seen but really nice weapon, it is the spear of the knights of malenia aka the cleanrot spear, with a somewhat particular opening, and a unique ash of war, would be nice to use it

Eclipse Shotel with Pulley Crossbow is much fun in duels btw
