@bestia5833 I think the issue is those builds are working of of unintentionally interactions and will soon be changed/nerfed so it's good to have this builds that are more balanced juat incase also some people are looking for balanced not super overpowered builds.

To be fair he did say it's not really good for the build and it's more for flavour, looks cool, makes you feel more like flame impaler... The game doesn't have to always be about min maxing 🤣

I made this build a few days ago. The only thing different on mine, is I gave myself the endurance to have Messmers spear equipped as well. The ash of war on it is just so fun and its great for clearing aoe mobs.

i think people are sleeping on flame skewer. its quicker, has an additional follow up, meaning more damage, and for me personally it seems to break stances easier

Try Deflecting Hardtear, Malenia Great rune (Takers Cameo and Godskin Swaddling Cloth for more HP recovery) for that Advanced Combat Rally and Sekiro Parry feel

Wasn't there a jtem that when an enemy is coated in oil, they take 300% more damage, or am i tripping

On my main character i play Messmer build, boss Spear with Vyke spear or Naginata for fast attacks and bonus bleed or catana with unsheathe for stager and maybe bleed. I use two weapons because a charged spear strong attack is a weak throw, so the second weapon makes up for it great to play, on another character i play with this sword and Ashes of war

Also the black steel twinblade has a similar passive, but instead of fire imbuement, with a holy one. They deal very good damage :)

I brought my original character into the DLC which is a hybrid STR/FTH build, so naturally the Fire Knight Greatsword/armor set was the perfect match. If you find the Winged Serpent Helm, you can boost your Fire Knight AoWs by 10%, which personally I find better than the Mesmer helm. I also farmed and +25'd a second Fire Knight Greatsword so I have one with Flame Skewer and one with Flame Spear, that way I can switch based on what I'm fighting without having to find/fast travel to a site of grace.

@@Fractixx Nope, Messmer's Helm gives a 3% damage boost to Fire Knight Skills and Messmer Flame spells. So it works on both spells and skills, but the Winged Serpent Helm is a larger boost to just skills.

I do this build but with the spear. The throwing attack is great for luring enemies into range for the orb or ash of war. And if I'm low on health I just grab my shield and poke everything

I’ve been using the Winged Serpant Helm for that drip and bonus damage to Mesmer Skills, but I went Dex over strangth so I could also use Mesmer’s spear which favors Dex. Only problem is the equipment load is staggering.

I farmed the dude in front of shadow keep for an hour, for an 1900 ar sword. Lemme say, it was worth it.... But I put the new guts flip sword attack on it with faith scaling and flame art

I have almost the same exact setup, except I went with 80 faith. Might try 54 str and 60-80 faith instead and see how that goes.

I put everything the same as in the video but I only managed to remove 2500 and I'm level 266. Maybe it's the potion that I don't know which one you have. I have one that improves fire attacks and charged blows, what could I have wrong?

@@matthewsmith7947 and the backhand blade ash or war. It’s to fast and the hit boxes are far too wide and it does too much damage. There’s literally no way to counter it. You can’t even block it because the delay hits behind the player negating the shield defense.

So I ended with a similar build except I use the Spear of the Impaler as a Mob weapon as well, you can carry both at 32 endurance. Strength is definitely not needed at 50, it falls off and scales terrible anyway. I did 60 Vigor, 22 mind, 32 endurance (to use the spear, sword and still have 51 poise with armor), 30 strength, 35 dexterity, 9 int, 80 faith and 8 arcane. Same buffs, same incantations as him and same talismans. The mix is flame cracked tear and the stone-barb tear. When fully buffed I get 3509 with the sword and 2471 with the spear. If anyone has any other suggestions let me know!

Honestly with some dex or radagons icon Mesmer's orb cast really fast making it much better to quick cast it and avoid the issue of being interrupted when charging it.

what would be the best stats for lvl 150 depraved?

I don’t really get the 50 STR, the scaling on str is terrible and it’s the same as the one on dex… shouldn’t it be better to just pump up FTH more and live str OR dex at 40? Or even go for a full physical quality with same values on Str/Dex (like 30/30) and going hard on FTH (ideally 80)? Just asking since I still have to test it out

There's 2 knights with the great sword. SK 1st floor up the steps all the way 2 the end

I run this weapon and its fun. Even just at base its kinda nuts.

putting Giant Hunt is better while using the Axe Tailsmain, Two hand tailsmain, Shard of Alexander, godfrey icon and poise break tear and for damage negation use the hard opaline you deal 5k and damage and 2-3k with a regular R1 you poise break a lot

agreed - everyone is all bent out of shape with these “passive” buffs of fire but they don’t do shit especially vs bosses

question, why 50 strength if the weapon scales B with faith and E with strength ?

Did you try this on final boss btw? I think you won't have the chance to use those super slow ashes of war against him because he constantly attacks :)

theres a much easier farm for the greatsword. seventh floor storehouse grace, drop down the stairs and immediately theres a greatsword knight with his back turned. just don't knock him off the ledge with a backstab, just heavy him or use a spell instead

just at the regular round table hold. you can just fast travel to any site of grace whether it is base game or sote.

I cant wait for ng1. 50+ in every stat except intelligence and arcane. Im getting 45 arcane, maybe 50. 60 endurance and 55 vigor with new builds, i cant wait.

How does he coat his weapon in fire?

Ive seen the bloodfiends arm hit well over 14k and also pushed as the highest dps weapon . Is there any legit heave thrust weapons this time around ?

just use what is more fun and looks better. I play str+arc and have been absolutely deleting all the bosses that can bleed. You can just facetank and kill them in few seconds.

@@borderlandish1140 I played with and covered both before. Different play styles. I find this more forgiving but obviously the high bleed on arm is cranked. Use whichever you like, switch it up

I'm only level 150 flat it's so hard to fit stats.

Why go STR 50 when DEX has better scaling than STR if you're going with Flame Art ? Also Flame Skewer isn't charged so you're just wasting a talisman slot by using Godfrey Icon

Defintely my fav build since i got the sword. Best moveset by far…. That being said, Rotfiend Blood Arm build is just absurd. You press one button to win. I switched off of it because it is just trivialized the game.
