Man seeing Let me solo her the other day dying non stop to the phase 2 while trying to help other ppl was so raw.. since you could see how he was learning and obv there is a learning curve... he prob got stomped like 25 times but now he solo him easily

Rinse and repeat until you understood, I did the same thing to Bayle, rellana and next is messmer, when I'm off work lol. 2nd run on different character, also not Ng so less punishing and easier to learn from.

I slayed the final boss wearing the great jar helm haha. Turns out you need some holy f defense and the bigger jar is the way to go. Love how you made the jar head iconic and the DLC is just like noooo go bigger!

Me and my buddy are doing a dlc run without using the shadu fragments right now and messmer was a challenge but we got it done took a while though. Very rewarding feeling and we learned more about the boss every try.

I'll be honest, I got furious fighting Messmer to the point I broke my desk (kicked the keyboard shelf and broke one of the rails) and just uninstalled elden ring. A large part of WHY is because after 8 or so hours over 3 days I still hadn't gotten him to phase 2. Kind of assumed people like you and ChaseTheBro did him in one try. It took my friend maybe 30 minutes WHILE I was getting butchered by him lol. It sounds bad but I'm glad to see that you're having trouble with the same parts of his fight I have been. I DID see your recent video showing you soloing him in 3 minutes or so, so I am also very glad to see that, unlike me, you actually improved at the fight XD

Kind of glad i watched an hour of the last stream, faced Messmer yesterday and beat him within 10 tries since i actually understood the patterns of attack :) Not that hard once you get comfortable with his moveset, large windows of attack tbh

I still would say Malenia is harder than most of these bosses. None of these DLC bosses have life steal, and their strongest moves are clearer with evasion timing and positioning than the first sequence of the Waterfowl Dance. The only thing that makes them seem harder is that they are too unforgiving in terms of damage, which let's be honest, most of the DLC is like that already...

It's really hard to say right now. Sooo many major factors to consider. Are you used to the new updates yet? Have you been regularly playing or did you f off and just back into it? What's your level? What play through? How many shadow blessings are you finding? Many things to consider but since most of this is new to us right now, seems like the hardest crapp ever lolz. But I just slayed the final boss and I can tell ya, it gets easier once you start adapting to the new changes and challenges : )

​@@xyounozishix9693 Waterfowl Dance and life stealing are the only two things that set her apart from the rest of the bosses in terms of challenge. FromSoft just felt the need to overcompensate her to 1up all the other bosses they made for other games, and it was unnecessary. And now the same could be said about most of the DLC. At least there's Shadow Blessings to shift the scales in with damage and defense, but only a little. Good luck trying to beat the final boss of the DLC at NG+7 with or without max shadow blessing...

just because you know the attack patterns it doesn't mean you never get hit. One single mistake and you easily lose half of your hp. Look how close he was to dying in this fight.

It's still early days. He's only had a small bit of time to practice since the DLC released. You can't compare his previous pro status with this as he'd spent so much time practicing before. He hasn't had the chance to practice nearly enough yet with this boss.
